We have a plan! We might not stick to it, but this is our basic route and schedule. There are a few variation options, which we might take if we decide we are ‘going well’! Or if we want to take an extra day to complete a section of the Journey. We are not too concerned about doing a certain number of miles in any one day, although we need to get to the top and home in less than 3 weeks! Day 1 Sunday 24th April 2016. We might have to be flexible in our route from day 1! Day 2 Monday 25th April 2016.

The Rosemere Cancer Foundation. Supports world class cancer treatment throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria. The Foundation have launched an appeal to raise 100k for a new state-of-the-art chemotherapy unit at Burnley General Hospital. The 200,000 development, set to open spring 2016, will mean people are not forced to travel to Manchester’s Christie Hospital or the specialist Rosemere Cancer Centre at Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. Is also set to contribute 100,000. My journey so far.

An early rise allowed for Calla, Brian and both of us to take an early morning stroll in the sunshine on a deserted beach (Tràigh Allt Chàilgeag) before setting off at 8:30.
