WIP Wednesday #41 | Rip It Good
http://www.ripitgood.net/2012/05/16/wip-wednesday-41
May 16, 2012. I almost forgot to post this week again. I can’t put up my little tennis ball project because it’s almost done and being gifted this weekend, but the entrelac purse has been blocked and I’m lollygagging on seaming it. I also did a couple gauge swatches for a Shapely Tank Top with that big hank of cotton I got at Maryland Sheep & Wool. One of them came out good, I thought:. Head over to Tami’s Amis. If you’re lookin’ to see more WIPs. Work In Progress Wednesday #10. War Against WIPs #3.
WIP Wednesday #40 | Rip It Good
http://www.ripitgood.net/2012/05/08/wip-wednesday-40
May 8, 2012. Just a quickie post because one of my friends has been sad I’ve stopped posting so she has no idea what I’ve been doing. Don’t be sad, Stef! This weekend on the bus home from MS&W, I started my first entrelac project AND learned how to knit backwards! I was smart and put a video for it onto my ipad, heehee. It is going to be a clutch. I may have to beg my mom to help me line it. Head over to Tami’s Amis. If you’re lookin’ to see things other people are making RIGHT NOW OMG. I GOTS TO KNOW!

Squee Sunday: MSW 2012. May 6, 2012. I’ve decided not to bother numbering these anymore because I am unreliable and have been skipping weeks with Mr. Linky, but feel free to still post on Sundays if you’d like. I went to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Yesterday, and I came back with mad lootz, yo! What a haul, what a haul! Here was one of my last fines, but one of the most important:. For making my car smell purdy! Got the pattern but no yarn yet. Keychain needle sizer & snippies. But then I reali...

Bouncy Rabbit | Rip It Good
http://www.ripitgood.net/2012/05/25/bouncy-rabbit
May 25, 2012. By Susan B. Anderson. Vanna’s Choice in White. US 5 – 3.75 mm. I have a huge backlog of FOs that I have to get out there, but in the meantime I know you guys were curious what I was using that tennis ball for. Sadly it doesn’t really bounce anymore, but I like the definition it has rather than if it was simply stuffed, plus it sits up nicely. And here is my hubby’s second cousin with little Emily, who is clutching her new Rabbit so cutely! Super Mario Brothers Super Toy Collection! May 25, ...

Intrepid Knitting on the High Seas, or, Pointy Things and Tangly Stuff. Pirate-Husband asked me to design “manly black armwarmers” for him to wear while riding, and explained that he needed something to close the gap between his leather jacket and his gloves. Cables were the first thing that came to mind. He liked them so much that I made a pair for myself as well! S [L] (shown in size S). Intrepid Knitting on the High Seas, or, Pointy Things and Tangly Stuff. After I knit the same pattern in a slightly smaller size for myself, they were given a new name – “Sibling Socks” – and I am pleased to be able to share the pattern in both sizes! The ribbing means these would be great gift socks even if you don’t know your recipient’s exact width, since it will stretch to accommodate his or her foot. The Knitting Pirate » Choppy Seas Socks
http://knittingpirate.com/patterns/choppy-seas-socks
Intrepid Knitting on the High Seas, or, Pointy Things and Tangly Stuff. These textured socks are reminiscent of the ocean on a stormy day, and the stitch pattern rolls and breaks like choppy waves. The darkening sky is represented in the contrasting toes, heels, and cuffs. Knit with Patons Kroy Sock over 60 stitches on US2/2.75mm needles, it works up fairly quickly. The stitch pattern is very stretchy, and should fit a range of feet from approximately 8.5″ to 9.5″ around. Here are some more pictures:.
