Life With Short People. Thursday, July 30. Friday, July 3. Henry "Hammy" the Hamster died. Mostly likely it happened overnight. We had him for about two years, and I remember him as a gentle, sweet hamster who was good with the kids. I also remember his late-night escapes - we would find him often in the closet, or under the stove.
