Development ended after seven were built, and henceforth known as the Roaring River Chalets, these classic A-Frames sit along the Middle Fork of the New River. Converted to a Planned Urban Development in 2011, units have been renovated and each sold to private owners. We purchased our end unit in February, 2012 as a second home - fulfilling a longtime dream for a mountain retreat.

Exactly one week later (January 14), we return with the moms for a second look. We place our offer, and to our delight Keith's mom Barbara places an offer on the unit next door.
