November 2, 2012. The Early modern era produced very abstract art, that I cannot say I am a huge fan of. However one artist I truly enjoy is Aaron Douglas, who was a Harlem Renaissance painter. He developed a style that synthesized aspects of Modern European, Ancient Egyptian, and West African art.
