Monday, July 28, 2008. I have to pee, so this one will be quick. on saturday, i woke up early (4:30. yes dad, i was smiling! Went to work, left work early, drove to idaho falls, ate dinner, played at a wedding reception, caught up with some old friends, ate some more, and went to bed by midnight. i then woke up and drove back down to salt lake, attended a brief meeting and made it to church on time, all within 24 hours. wow. Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Just thought i'd post a few photos of my amazing, enlightening trip to glacier! Our view from camp was quite beautiful and we had an almost full moon. we followed deer #41, 42 and 43 into a car camp-site before we got to the park. we had about 25 pound packs and a flat trail. it's amazing what a difference that makes. we stopped for lunch thinking we were only about halfway there. 10 minutes later we were setting up camp! Saturday, January 10, 2009. The freezing point of eggs. Gen and i went snowshoeing yesterday, and stayed overnight at dog lake in big cottonwood canyon. it was a blast! We packed a tent (snow was too soft for a snow cave) and food and lots of cold-weather gear. this morning, however, we had planned a very nice breakfast of oatmeal and scrambled eggs. we pulled the eggs out of the pack and lo-and-behold they were frozen! I went to moab last week with one of my friends, cliff. it was SO amazing. the first night we backpacked into the needles district of the canyonlands to a place called chesler park. we got into our campsite right after sunset so the rocks were silhouetted against the sky.
