The Bing Blog: Spinning plates again
http://the-bing-blog.blogspot.com/2010/08/spinning-plates-again.html
Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Every year when school starts, it's a mad rush to get into a groove, even after 21 years of doing the same thing. It's like that juggling act with the plates spinning on sticks. You get some spinning really fast, and then move on to other plates, only paying attention to the ones that get wobbly. The Bing Blog: September 2009

Thursday, September 24, 2009. For now, I'll stick to running and swimming. Links to this post. Monday, September 07, 2009. Yesterday was a fantastic day. First - church at Calvary Chapel Miami Beach. I love the straight ahead "Here's what the bible says" approach. Pastor Robert doesn't hold back on controversial topics, but he doesn't preach from a bully pulpit, either. It's a "real (,) Christian" church. (real, Christian OR real Christian - the comma is optional). Now it's Labor Day. Another beautif...

The Bing Blog: November 2009

Saturday, November 28, 2009. There are 3 things that The Pastelitos have not been doing well the last two weeks: "Look," "Heel" and "Stay.". They've just ignored me. They knew that what I wanted next was for them to sit and they would go ahead and sit but without the “look” first. 8221; and scratch her head. Once she re-learned that “Look” can bring GOOD things, she hasn’t ignored me. I was thinking about how the way I have to train them is similar to the way God is training me. Links to this post. The Bing Blog: February 2010
http://the-bing-blog.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 15, 2010. I think I get it! I pondered this for a long time then it hit me: This is how Jesus loves us. He gives endlessly, joyfully to us. He doesn't do it because he expects anything in return. He doesn't make us feel guilty when we ask for more. He does it because He loves us, plain and simple. And through that, I got a small glimpse of how Jesus dances when we give thanks to Him and tell him we love Him. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). America Alone - Mark Steyn.

The Bing Blog: October 2009
http://the-bing-blog.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 11, 2009. I was discussing with a friend the other day about the me-centeredness of our younger generation. I'm sure that is a common them of EVERY older generation but some of the things that I see 20-somethings doing today are things I would have never DREAMED of doing when I was that age. Why is it, then, that a full 3 months after they moved out, the majority of their belongings are still here? It's just good manners. Links to this post. Sunday, October 04, 2009. I counted to 10 and t...

The Bing Blog: December 2009
http://the-bing-blog.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 17, 2009. Focus on the POSITIVE! I had a friend suggest this week that perhaps I need to do a better job on focusing on the POSITIVE things in my life rather than constantly complaining about the negative. I have another roof leak that I thought I could wait until spring to fix since winter is usually pretty dry here. Today we had a deluge that was very spring-like. There is a puddle in my house. It's going to cost about $7,000 to properly fix the roof. Am I being more positive? When r...

Sunday, December 05, 2010. The big problem is that if you leave your spouse for someone else, it's quite likely that you'll face the same problem again because reality can never match fantasy. It's not all flowers, romantic dinners and walks on the beach. It's maintaining a home, staying financially stable and walking through life together. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
