Rob and Rina in New Zealand. A photo chronicle of our 6 month working holiday to New Zealand. Monday, May 01, 2006. It is the evening before setting off to New Zealand for 6 months. Rina and I have been busy getting things wrapped up in Utah, and now it comes down to the final 24 hours. All we have to do is finalize the packing, pawn off our leftover food to Jen, and install a water heater. Posted by Rina @ 6:34 PM. Not bad, eh? Posted by Rina @ 5:59 PM. Rob and Rina in New Zealand. Rob & Rina in New Zealand: The Hollyford Track Part II

http://www.robandrinainnewzealand.blogspot.com/2006/12/hollyford-track-part-ii.html

Rob and Rina in New Zealand. A photo chronicle of our 6 month working holiday to New Zealand. Friday, December 08, 2006. The Hollyford Track Part II. Arrival at Hokuri Hut, a whopping 24 meter elevation from sea level. We should have brought supplemetal O2 with us;). A break from the rain. A second day of tramping, and another group of 3 wire bridges to cross, some were more vertically challenging than others. In the early evening, the clouds cleared a little and exposed the beautiful mountain range.

Rob & Rina in New Zealand: Milford Sound

http://www.robandrinainnewzealand.blogspot.com/2006/12/milford-sound.html

Rob and Rina in New Zealand. A photo chronicle of our 6 month working holiday to New Zealand. Saturday, December 09, 2006. The start of our overnight cruise on the Milford Mariner. The Milford Sound is known for its rainfall as it gets an average of 7 meters of rain annually. The varying degrees of precipitation during our outing allowed for an abundance of waterfalls. A kayak trip off the boat after we reached a calm harbor for the night. As the rain strengthened in intensity, so did the waterfalls.

Rob & Rina in New Zealand: Stewart Island

http://www.robandrinainnewzealand.blogspot.com/2006/12/stewart-island.html

Rob and Rina in New Zealand. A photo chronicle of our 6 month working holiday to New Zealand. Sunday, December 10, 2006. At the southern tip of the South Island, Bluff is 35km to Stewart Island. Oban, the main city of Stewart Island, is named after a port city in the Scottish Highlands. A hilltop view looking down on Oban. We stayed at the Kaka Cottage, appropriately named for the frequent feathered guests we would get on our porch. Posted by Rina @ 7:53 AM. Rob and Rina in New Zealand.

Life in Salt Lake...and beyond: March 2008

http://robandrinaathomeandaway.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

Life in Salt Lake.and beyond. Monday, March 24, 2008. The morning of the wedding I ran a 30K trail run (Pirates Cove) that is part of the Pacific Coast Trail Run Series. The course was on beautiful coastal trails in Marin on the headlands just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Chilly to start, but as you can see it didn't keep the die-hard surfers away. I would recommend any of these races if you can ever swing it. The view from the deck overlooking the beach. The happy couple on their wedding day. Lucy, ...

Life in Salt Lake...and beyond: Corson boys hit the White Rim Trail.

http://robandrinaathomeandaway.blogspot.com/2009/05/corson-boys-hit-white-rim-trail.html

Life in Salt Lake.and beyond. Friday, May 8, 2009. Corson boys hit the White Rim Trail. The advance team (Tom and I) arrived a day early to organize for the trip. Tom and I slept out at the tent in Castle Valley and tested out Duncan's mattress. Tom and I hiked along the Flat Pass/Steelbender trail and witnessed this bizarre natural phenomenon. One cloud was a vivid rainbow color! Stayed like that for a good 10-15 minutes. I guess that's what its like to use hallucinogens. Corson boys on the White Rim.

Life in Salt Lake...and beyond: November 2008

http://robandrinaathomeandaway.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Life in Salt Lake.and beyond. Monday, November 24, 2008. For the love. . . Well (thanks to Miranda and Jodi) I've been "tagged" twice now and have this sense of duty to list. 1 I'm actually considering swimming this winter so that I can do a sprint triathalon in May. 2 I have one tattoo (that I hope to remove some day). 3 I pass the slow hours at work with spider solitaire, people.com and checking all of my friend's blogs. 4 I would like to go cross country skiing in Antarctica. Life in Salt Lake.and beyond. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Team Billy Goat kicks some ass! Team Billy Goat - for short. Early morning view of parking area and event flag. Coffee takes the chill off the morning. The next thing I know I'm camped out on the frozen desert still trying to fall asleep when the loudspeakers come on blaring "Are you ready for this! Techno theme song. Opening my eyes I realize it is 4:30AM! The La Sals really made for a beautiful backdrop. Against the red desert. A view of Monitor an...

Life in Salt Lake...and beyond: April 2009

http://robandrinaathomeandaway.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Life in Salt Lake.and beyond. Sunday, April 26, 2009. On arrival at Oakland, we picked up the rental car and met up with Sam, Megan, and Eleri. We really wanted to see the new California Academy of Science Museum in Golden Gate Park, so headed that direction only to find a queue of people with the same thought stretching a quarter mile out the front door of this new museum! Short-haired Rina in this camera obscura-like interactive space at the de Young. Inside the round room. Sunset looking toward Bolinas.

Life in Salt Lake.and beyond. Sunday, May 24, 2009. Team Billy Goat made a showing at the inaugural running of the Pocatello 50 miler (measured out at 51.8 miles) this past weekend.  The team roster has seen multiple permutations in recent months, and even in the week leading up to the event things weren't quite set in stone.  The final order was as follows:. Dazed from lack of sleep, Dr. Lewis wonders where she is and why it's so damn cold. The entire Team Billy Goat about to take care of some bidness.

http://robandrinaathomeandaway.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html

Life in Salt Lake.and beyond. Friday, October 19, 2007. Last weekend a few of us met up in Moab for some fall riding, camping, and climbing. It was gorgeous weather for it. Nice to be down in the desert and not feel like every waking moment you are being sucked dry by the heat and dessicating lack of humidity. Zo and Tom on the Fisher Mesa trail outside Moab. Nice singletrack out onto the mesa. Rich and Chris on Slickrock Bike trail. Note the cushy front shocks. Lucy bonds with her new found pack member.

Life in Salt Lake.and beyond. Friday, December 5, 2008. Rina and I somehow managed to avoid the crowds and delays on our trip to Georgia and South Carolina over the Thanksgiving holiday to see friends and family. It was pretty smooth sailing all the way despite having to go through Las Vegas to get from one major Delta hub to another. Ethan strikes a pose at Stone Mountain. Life in Salt Lake.and beyond. Thursday, February 7, 2008. Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Mill Creek Yurt Trip. On January 30th we went with our friends Jeremy, Jodi, Jen and Mike for a two night stay at the Mill Creek yurt. Lucy loved running in the snow, even her pack filled with water and dog food only managed to slow her down a little bit. Jen and Mike managed to stay warm at the yurt by huddling very close. Jeremy smiling with the anticipation of a day of powder skiing. Jeremy gets in some turns. Here ...

Profile and Career Highlights. Welcome to my web site, and thanks for visiting. My best result during my career was 9th overall in the 1986 championship, and I also raced for Great Britain at the 1985 Motocross des Nations. I placed 2nd in one GP moto, and for one week in 1986 lay 2nd in the world championship. I am proud to have been part of that golden era, and proud of my achievements. At my last Grand Prix in 1990, Claire wanted a group shot with some of the other girls from the GP.
