Maybe it is the lack of oxygen…. Yosemite – a land of granite, dirt, and some REALLY big trees! As it turned out, Yosemite was the closest and on my list of parks to see in my lifetime. Much bigger than any I had seen in Colorado. Many were 10-13 feet in diameter and hundreds of feet tall. The pine cones alone were the size of pineapples. Reaching for the sun over 200 feet above us. Bigger than me at any rate. Extending to the blue. This is not forced perspective folks. Tunnel Tree - a common attraction.

Maybe it is the lack of oxygen…. Solitude, Snow, and rocks – lots of rocks. Since I am starting Grad school next week, I thought I would take the opportunity to go for a nice long hike. I thought of doing a 14er but with it being Labor day weekend most of the them would be too crowded. Not wanting to wade through countless “gapers” (see august 28 post. I decided I needed to find something a little more secluded and perhaps a little closer to Denver. You can click the pictures for a full-size version!

Maybe it is the lack of oxygen…. People who say “literally.” then follow it with a metaphor (eg. I literally have a splitting headache). People who tell me what I “should” do – go should on yourself, stop shoulding on me. People who say “yeah, maybe”. 80 degree days in November. Thing with coconut in them. Comments : Leave a Comment.
