Under Observation: Now What?
http://piscribe.blogspot.com/2015/06/now-what.html
Friday, June 26, 2015. UNDER OBSERVATION: NOW WHAT? JUNE 25, 2015. Short stories didn’t really appeal to me because I found once I started writing them I got sidetracked and they became, in some instances, unbridled novellas. Then I was reading my Twitter account one day and saw more than a few tweets contained hyperlinks to various blog entries. How did they do this? I had a blog, of sorts, so why couldn’t I send the same hyperlink? So until next time, I remain yours, as always, under observation. This ...

Under Observation: Stars and Bars and the kitchen sink
http://piscribe.blogspot.com/2015/06/stars-and-bars-and-kitchen-sink.html
Friday, June 26, 2015. Stars and Bars and the kitchen sink. STARS AND BARS AND THE KITCHEN SINK. JUNE 25, 2015. Well, for better or worse, I’m back again. Hopefully I will have found a way to hyperlink this blog to my twitter account (@detectiscribe) to make these thoughts and efforts more accessible to whoever must pay penance, restitution or a bar bet that was ill conceived at the bottom of a foam filled beer glass on spring break. The major retailers like Wal-Mart, Amazon etc. have decided that se...

Under Observation: April 2013

Thursday, April 4, 2013. Why I can't be president. If you have been watching the news lately you can tell that the new leader of North Korea seems to be bent on throwing the world into a nuclear war. How nice for him. I'll bet when the tonnage starts to fly he'll be safely ensconced in his Lego bomb shelter somewhere in the hillsides of that wonderland of Asian culture, North Korea. Why are not the Chinese or the Russians stepping in to rein in this crackpot? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This is a place w...

Under Observation: May 2012
http://piscribe.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 22, 2012. I have been away from my blog for the last little while trying to find my way in this crazy world and contemplating what daytime cable TV has to offer. Then I got smacked in my sense of fair play by a judge in New Jersey who sentenced the Rutgers webcam perpetrator to a mere 30 days in jail (that would be county jail, not Rahway state prison). Who says you have to be famous to get a break like Lindsey Lohan? Whatever happened to the reasonable expectation of privacy? Hey, with that...

Under Observation
http://piscribe.blogspot.com/2013/12/need-to-clarify-yesterday-i-took-issue.html
Saturday, December 28, 2013. Yesterday I took issue with the family of the late artist Norman Rockwell about being upset that a new book made a veiled inference that the painter was homosexual. While I was correct in that, I got further information which said the book made a tenuous connection about the painter's perhaps also being a pedophile. Obviously, this is something to get upset about. I apologize if my shortsightedness has caused undue concern. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Under Observation: March 2013
http://piscribe.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 11, 2013. Ladies and gentlemen, the apocalypse is once again upon us. No, not because of the recent election, though a lot in the losing parties might think so. No, not because of the meteor strike in Russia which will probably end up as the next Tom Clancy novel. And certainly not because the pope resigned due to failing health. Will I resist the urge to say he was too pooped to pope? The bottom line, for me, is this. Regardless of gender, if you can do the job, you should be allowed t...

Under Observation: November 2012
http://piscribe.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 23, 2012. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any wackier inside the beltway, they got really weird, Twilight Zone weird, below the beltway. When you are under the pressure that David Petraeus was under when this project started, it’s easy to see why he would succumb to a friendly ear and figurative colleague who had a working knowledge of what he had to deal with. It seems to this casual observer that Paula Broadwell had only one item on her agenda, the self-aggrandizement of Paul...

Whatever works, obviously …. July 31, 2015. July 31, 2015. Anyhow, this compressed accounting of an extraordinary event ran during Hangar 1’s premiere season in 2014, and it focused on the underreported malfunction at F.E. Warren AFB near Cheyenne, Wyoming. An alarming 50 nuclear missiles abruptly went offline in October 2010, and the official explanation was that the 319. In contrast to the Atlantic magazine piece that broke the 50-missile shutdown piece. In which authorities said weapons access went da...
