State of the Liz - Liz's Journal
http://ixwin.livejournal.com/189408.html
Headed in a south-westerly direction, revolving gracefully. State of the Liz. Aug 31st, 2009 at 9:29 PM. Haven't posted in a while so thought it was time for a brief update. Talking of Abigail, she's growing up fast too. Her vocabulary at the moment consists of the spoken words mama, dada (Daddy or Daniel), teeth, this, and cha (chocolate) together with signs for food, sleep, hat, no, and open. She's also toddling about at quite a pace. 4 comments Leave a comment. Aug 31st, 2009 09:31 pm (UTC). That show...

Prague!: obandsoller
http://obandsoller.livejournal.com/24527.html
Took me to Prague! This was 27th-30th March, but I've been busy doing nothing. Mostly I played the dazzled innocent, as Sebastian guided me through streets filled with buildings all in exquisite pastel colours like cakes in a patisserie. He bought me a single red rose: the first time anyone's ever thought to buy me flowers. When wandering aimlessly we found a building that looked like a fairytale castle in one of the squares. Are you the prince that does the saving, or the prince that needs saving? After...

PORTUGAL - Gossip from inside my head
http://fluffymark.livejournal.com/184196.html
PORTUGAL - Gossip from inside my head. Apr 14th, 2009 01:07 am. On a whim, I ended up in Portugal last weekend. One sunny morning I flew into Porto’s shiny new airport and hopped on the shiny new Metro system, climbed up the tallest tower I could find, and had a look what I could see. Porto is a beautiful city. The Douro river forms a steep-sided gorge, and many old and crumbly buildings cling perilously to the sides. Huge awesome bridges. So I was quite merry for the rest of the evening. Ooops. Then it ...

Wrongness - Gossip from inside my head
http://fluffymark.livejournal.com/183903.html
Wrongness - Gossip from inside my head. Apr 2nd, 2009 10:41 pm. Am in Portugal on one of my little adventures. They want to feed me Portonic. As in, Port and Tonic. I am not yet convinced this is right. Explain why this exists to me, please. 2009-04-03 06:58 am (UTC). Never tried that, but Madeira and tonic is incredibly nice. 2009-04-03 10:20 am (UTC). I briefed you before you went that the Portuguese don't understand port. 2009-04-03 10:22 am (UTC). Do not drink the port.

Chancellor of the University of Cambridge - Sally's Journal
http://atreic.livejournal.com/437458.html
Chancellor of the University of Cambridge - Sallys Journal. October 2nd, 2011. Chancellor of the University of Cambridge. Who should I vote for? There are four candidates:. I am mostly ignoring Abdul Arain. Because while I fully respect his right as a small business man to protest about big businessmen, I'm not sure 'supermarket chains are evil' is the key priority I wish the chancellor of the university to be focussing on. I am quite divided on Michael Mansfield. He keeps a blog. For universities at the...

I'm just about to finish my (third? fourth?) replay of Deus Ex… - Liz's Journal
http://ixwin.livejournal.com/191604.html
Headed in a south-westerly direction, revolving gracefully. Feb 7th, 2010. I'm just about to finish my (third? Replay of Deus Ex. Detailed results viewable to: All. Which game should I play next? Extra information which may or may not be useful:. I own all three already (presents from my wishlist) so cost isn't a factor. I'll be playing on a PC. In general, I prefer shooter-style combat where you just aim and fire/hit where the stats are hidden than ones where you're queuing up special moves. Feb 7th, 20...

I bet this is an iPhone app by now - khalinche

I bet this is an iPhone app by now. Why hasn't this happened yet? Do you want to write the code for it, maybe not for Google Calendar but for some other equivalent program? PS Here is a post I liked very much. About how we should just get the fuck over ourselves and start talking openly about menstruation in society as a whole. I would not have necessarily made this a public post without having read that. But why filter this? Posted on Sep. 9th, 2009 at 10:55 am. I was thinking this just the other day!

Walt Whitman, Hans Christian Andersen, Bessie Smith, Marlon Brando, Frida Kahlo and ME - khalinche

Walt Whitman, Hans Christian Andersen, Bessie Smith, Marlon Brando, Frida Kahlo and ME. Today is International Celebrate Bisexuality Day, did you know? I'm quite tickled by how it falls just after my birthday, as though it were just one in a week-long seminar series called Celebrate Aspects of. S Identity Week. The Highlands and Islands Society of London is having a ceilidh. On Saturday, after all - maybe tomorrow there could be a Bolivian anthropology workshop, and a food festival on Friday? More bisexu...
