Reflections on my life - from 1953 till the present. Friday, November 11, 2011. Chocolate straws for milk. We were doing our shopping this morning, and I bought some condensed milk so I could make some mayonaise. Rock salt or salt flakes etc. Wednesday, November 9, 2011. In short, the answer is YES! Is one of many I discovered on the net wh...

Reflections: Coles Cafeteria in Melbourne
http://poohsreflections.blogspot.com/2012/04/coles-cafeteria-in-melbourne.html
Reflections on my life - from 1953 till the present. Saturday, April 28, 2012. Coles Cafeteria in Melbourne. Coles Cafeteria c1953 (from SLV Victoria). I do remember the 'S' shaped chairs with red seats and backs - not sure if they were leather or vinyl. When I was a young mum myself I remember taking my daughter to Coles Cafeteria too. I loved 'the city' when I was a child and a young mum. Now it is so different, and hardly worth visiting. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Reflections on my life - from 1953 till the present. Thursday, August 18, 2011. Elephants at the Royal Melbourne Zoo. It may be that I had a ride on Betty or Peggy. These were two baby elephants who arrived at the zoo in 1939. Betty died in 1973 and Peggy in 1988. Lick on this image to view a video of the baby elephants). I can't find a photo of either of these elephants giving rides, but here is one of Queenie. I remember that when I had a ride we sat in a seat just like in this photo. We always had a p...

http://poohsreflections.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Reflections on my life - from 1953 till the present. Saturday, September 24, 2011. Last night I was watching Bargain Hunt and I saw a memory from my childhood. It was a Hornby (or maybe not) Tin Clockwork Train set. I have searched the internet for a photo, but can't find one exactly the same. Mine (although if the truth be told it probably belonged to my brother John) had a black steam engine, a coal tender (also black? Wonder what happened to it? Thursday, September 15, 2011. My Baby is 35! I can still...

Ancestor Search: Oops! Got that wrong!
http://pooh53-ancestorsearch.blogspot.com/2012/02/oops-got-that-wrong.html
My journey on the road to discovering the stories of the SULLIVAN, ROBERTS, HAWTON and associated families. With a bit of my own history thrown in for good measure! Tuesday, February 07, 2012. It is now quite clear that Sarah Ana Young DANIELS should never have been linked with George MacLENNAN. She seems to have disappeared off the map though, as no-one has been able to locate anything other than her birth registration. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
