The Old Fam and the See: January 2011
http://besafish.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
The Old Fam and the See. Thursday, January 27, 2011. Exposure to the chance of injury or loss; a hazard or dangerous chance. Glued to the floor. All of these words and phrases were used by various people to describe Tariku before he came home. All of these diagnoses and observations contorted into one very ugly four-letter word. Pulsing neon in every email, photo, and video I received beginning last January. Became my predominant emotion. But, I’m telling you, I know what I heard. And, I know what I saw.

The Old Fam and the See: Things are getting hairy.
http://besafish.blogspot.com/2011/01/things-are-getting-hairy.html
The Old Fam and the See. Monday, January 10, 2011. Things are getting hairy. I waited for her reaction. What did I expect? For her to be impressed? To commend me on how well I am obviously caring for his hair? A pat on the back? She did not respond right away. I started re-playing in my mind the list of products I had mentioned. Did I say something to offend her? Could I possibly have named a product that contains mineral oil? Or worse yet, petrolatum! As it turns out, if I had committed such a faux pas.

Absolutely Fabulous: April 2010
http://dotblogger-absolutelyfabulous.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Happy 36th Anniversary, Mom and Dad. My parents were married when they were teenagers. They came to know the Lord in their adulthood. My sisters and I grew to love God through their influence and for that, I am eternally thankful. Mom and Dad are still together, beating odds and stats as if they wrote the book on marriage. My folks took on the responsibility of raising one of their grandchildren. They raise him as if he was their son. They love him as if he was their son. Anywa...

Sean and Marci: November 2009
http://seanandmarci.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
A celebration of all that is us. Saturday, November 28, 2009. It's that time of the year again. Christmas tree and decorating time! We were taken out among the thousands of trees and left to our own devices. Grabbing a saw, we traipsed here and there over the hills and muddy ruts in search of the perfect tree. Not too wide but fairly tall with fragrant branches but not too many dead spots in the center and few holes among the branches. I think the pungent smell of pine was going to his head!

Sean and Marci: May 2010
http://seanandmarci.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
A celebration of all that is us. Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Erin asked if I wanted to run the Philadelphia Broad Street 10 Miler. Again, I readily agreed to the crazyness and began training. This took some serious effort. I had never run that far EVER! Well, I'm pleased to report that this past Sunday, Erin and I (and that old friend, Malayna, even though this was nothing for her since she's already mastered the half marathon at 13 miles. She rocks! But we did it. We finished well! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A celebration of all that is us. Sunday, April 11, 2010. We loved every minute of it. That was our final hoorah for the weekend and what a fabulous note to end on. We had to head back to reality on Sunday. Thankfully, Sean was taken in by New York too and is already thinking of when we can head back. Enjoy some snapshots of our weekend . . . Link. Wow, we've really fallen behind in this blog thing. Yesterday, my cousin asked me if I was still blogging and I thought it might be time to post something.
