IT Security: The view from here: Dressed to the nines

http://robnewby.blogspot.com/2009/09/dressed-to-nines.html

IT Security: The view from here. IT Security in Europe. Wednesday, 9 September 2009. Dressed to the nines. I'm sure it hasn't escaped the notice of the more autistic amongst us that today is 09/09/09. I was praying last week that 09:09 this morning would mark the birth of my son, due last Saturday, and yet to make an appearance. Taking his sweet time, just like his mother. Thank you ladies and gentlemen, I'm here all week. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). UK based Information Security Professional.

IT Security: The view from here: Big holes in code

http://robnewby.blogspot.com/2009/07/big-holes-in-code.html

IT Security: The view from here. IT Security in Europe. Monday, 13 July 2009. Big holes in code. When I started this blog a couple of years ago, I was living and working in Barcelona, Spain. It was a glorious place and a glorious time. I genuinely loved living there, my wife and I have some very happy memories. We're about to have our first child, a boy, in just under 2 months - we haven't got a name yet, but it could have so easily been Pedro. To look it up. Babelfish dutifully replied that they wer...

IT Security: The view from here. IT Security in Europe. Monday, 15 June 2009. No sooner do I start up on the old blog again than Mike pitches in. And pushes me off my training wheels. Thanks Uncle Mike. No, I'm not really being a whining limey/pom bastard or whatever you call us these days. But Mike, you aren't in the UK, and, with respect, you are the one on crack. Not by a long chalk.]. Come forward to the 21st century, and we don't have to use PKI any more. We don't even have to know much about ke...

IT Security: The view from here: What risk isn't

http://robnewby.blogspot.com/2009/07/what-risk-isnt.html

IT Security: The view from here. IT Security in Europe. Friday, 10 July 2009. Writing blogs and having an opinion are fairly easy things to do, creating and selling a product is not. I've done both, at the same time, in fact that's why this blog exists - a marketing tool for a product I am no longer involved with, but a past-time I enjoy so I carried it on. IT Security: The view from here: January 2009

http://robnewby.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

IT Security: The view from here. IT Security in Europe. Saturday, 31 January 2009. This post is in honour of Walt Conway, who prodded me last night to ask why I haven't blogged since October. Has it really been that long? Well, I'm still here, but have been asked ever so politely by my current employer to refrain from posting whilst under contract as their security is paramount, and I'd only end up giving something away.]. Secerno Speaks: October 2009

http://blog.secerno.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Blogging on all things Database Security. Tuesday, 27 October 2009. When Government is too much like the private sector. The Swiss foreign ministry. That they have temporarily suspended internal access to the internet for the Government departments would suggest that they need to choke off the malware from sending data out. Alas, once a site has got to this state it can be difficult to clean up. Real defense requires preventing the information "misuse" from being established in the first place. One of th...

Friday, November 25, 2005. It's about (a-boot) 10am here now.and Slim just left with Michael, Cliff and Ike. They're off to Iowa for their show tonight - and I have the house to myself for a few hours. I might just get packed and then hit the airport for a little while. Or, go for a long walk around Oklahoma. There are no real goodbyes here - as I want to come back this summer after my course in Sask. (more on that later), possibly do a mini-doc on Miss. Blues. I think she even has a webpage. It's almost...

The people in my neighbourhood

The people in my neighbourhood. Being her own boss. Every morning, Monday through Friday, I go to the Good Life Fitness at Union Station. It’s busy, but I find the gym at that time – pleasantly – to be a solitary place. The people aren’t antisocial; there are smile, nods and quick hellos between regulars. It’s just that if you’re getting up before 6:00 am to exercise, you’re there to exercise and you stay focused on that. Every morning, Monday through Friday, Esther Gombor. August 7, 2016.
