BrooksBots - RoboMagellan for ChiBots with Parallax Propeller Traxxas EMaxx
http://www.brooksbots.com/Robomagellan.html
During October, 2007, I received an Email from Steve Hassenplug. Steve was trying to get the Chicago robot club (Chibots) to hold an annual RoboMagellan contest. He needed some more entries, so I committed to build a robot for the spring, 2008 competition. The first two contests (Spring and Fall, 2008), this robot did not find anything useful and had a lot of problems with autonomous control. The robot won the next two contests (Chibots RoboMagellan 2009. Finding all three pylons consistently. Initial ru...

Robots at Wageningen UR. Cropscout II was build in 2006 as the successor of Cropscout I. A small-scale experimental platform for research on sensors for precision agriculture'. Cropscout II is based on 2 small boxes which are mounted on top of each other. Sensors, including cameras are mounted around and on top of this box. Tracks powerd by 2 motors are used for driving. 38 cm x 48 cm x 26 cm. Camera for corner flag detection mounted at 100 cm height. Mean speed approx 1.5 m/s. 4 infrared distance sensors.

This page last updated: 23. In Autumn 2013 I decided that I wanted to make an autonomous robot. The idea was to build something that could wander around the garden, doing something, and return to its charging station when low on juice. Mechanically, I was inspired by a rather expensive octopod. That I had seen on-line, so I initially looked for some sort of octopod chassis upon which I could build my robot. Finding none, I was advised that the best way forward was to purchase a Dagu Wild Thumper. With so...

Val is a 6 foot tall, 300 pound humanoid robot made by NASA. We received it as part of a collaboration with Northeastern University. And she lives at the NERVE Center. Valkyrie has a total of 44 degrees of freedom throughout all of her limbs and has a spinning LIDAR and stereo cameras for sensing her environment. Thing 1 and Thing 2. Both Things use one of the arms from a Rethink Robotics. Baxter is a robot for manufacturing from Rethink Robotics. Lancelot is a modified Quantum 6000 wheelchair, with it's...

Changing the world one robot at a time. Robots & Projects. Felix is one of the first robots I created using the kinect sensor. This is Felix taking his first steps untethered. 6 Responses to “Felix”. November 12, 2012 at 9:04 pm. I was wondering what kind of motors are used on Felix and the Stroller. I am working on a bot of my own and motor cost, power and weight are a balancing act. Any details would be great. Great project. November 13, 2012 at 9:38 am. Coupled with 2 of the 12 inch tires:. The robot ...
