I took part in Azafady's Pioneer Scheme which involved working on various projects over a ten week period. These projects took place in three villages which were all about 35km away from Fort Dauphin, a town on the south east coast of Madagascar. Building a school in the village of Tsiroa. Tree planting, seed collecting and making a family vegetable garden near the village of Sainte Luce. After the scheme finished, I travelled around Madagascar for 2 weeks with some of the other volunteers.

Jamie and I biked from Skagen to Bornholm. We managed to cover 555.78km or 345.14 miles in 10 days of bicycling. Our maximum speed was over 50 kph or 30mph! Do take a look at our diary, which includes photos. Day 1 (Skagen - Jerup). Day 2 (Jerup - Frederikshavn - Hals). Day 3 (Hals - Hadsund). Day 4 (Hadsund - Estruplund - Gjerrild). Day 5 (Gjerrild - Grenå - Ebeltoft). Day 6 (Ebeltoft - Århus - Sjællands Odde). Day 7 (Sjællands Odde - Farum - Home). Rest (Home - Ystad - Rønne). 100% goes to Azafady.
