Big Dreams for a Tiny Garden. About: Where it Began. Wandering in My Poetry Garden. Through a Garden Prism. August 16, 2015. Ancestral treasures -Nana’s clam shell. Symbolism is under-rated don’t you think? It underpins much of what we value in our lives and yet often we neglect to really appreciate what it offers – I know I do. I remember especially my nana’s giant clam shell. Her grandfather came to Australia as a merchant from China during the 1800s. When he was killed and his body taken back to C...

Big Dreams for a Tiny Garden. About: Where it Began. Wandering in My Poetry Garden. The Darling Buds in My Mind Garden. August 10, 2015. One of the joys of my tiny garden is how easy it is for me to keep up with every exciting little development. In the last few days I’ve been watching as the buds on my soft cane dendrobium orchids develop and swell with promise. Last year my daughter (also an avid gardener – it’s genetic! I have since spent some time removing keikis. Just as those ‘darling buds...

I didn’t have to look far to see this wisdom expressed in my garden. It’s winter in the Southern Hemisphere, but here on the border of New South Wales and Queensland on the eastern seaboard of Australia, the climate is sub-tropical, which means winters are generally mild in comparison to the southern states. 10 responses to &ldq...

Did you just say hello? Do you ever want to talk to someone but…. October 6, 2016. Https:/ normalisoverrated2016.wordpress.com/. When I was in college, I once told one of my professors that my journal was my verbal toilet. My journal was a place where I could puke up all my innermost worries and thoughts. He looked at me slightly aghast, and maybe slightly appalled. (I don’t think he liked me all that well anyway, it was rumored he loved the butt kissers). Write it down…. October 25, 2016 at 2:41 pm.
