What's it like to live and work as an ALT in Yamaga-shi, Kumamoto, Japan? I don't know but keep reading and we'll find out together! Besides, I think I’ve found something a little closer to home. Supposedly, there is a Clube do Brasil de Fukuoka. Fukuoka is about two hours from Yamaga-shi and a lot easier to get to than Tokyo. Here’s the catch: a) the website is in Japanese and I have no idea what it says, and b) the latest date on the website is from 2009! Laquo; T minus 30. Thanks for the memories.

Yesterday evening, my co-workers hosted an awesome going away happy hour for me. Wednesdays are my telework days so I actually had to shower and dress but it was totally worth it. The Celebratory Committee (or the Celebration Station. As I have quite appropriately renamed it) invited the department to Buffalo Billiards for a little after hours fun.

I learned to like it. About two weeks later. Then I hit one milestone. And then I ran a 10K. At the end of July. Hopefully I’ll keep running here and there. Maybe I’ll do another race. Maybe it will be a longer one. If so, hopefully this page will grow. Maybe I will save my knees so I can walk in 50 years.
