Sunday, 9 February 2014. The forecast wasn't looking good for today so I didn't fancy climbing in the warm temperatures. Instead, I met up with Chris, Kyle and Matt who were heading out for a wonder in Glencoe. We took the line of greatest protection from avalanche risk up to the ridge and to the summit of Stob Coire Raineach which was a little breezy on top. Tuesday, 11 February 2014. Today I was out with Chris and Kyle. We had planned on getting on Northern Buttress on Buachaille Etive Mor but driving up the valley the weather didn’t look as bad as forecast and the wind speed was looking good. We stopped off at the Clachaig turn off for a quick chat. I knew that Chris and Kyle had been keen to get on the Aonach Eagach so we went for that. Saturday, 8 February 2014. I was back in Stob Coire nan Lochan in Glencoe again today. This time with Ryan who has been trying to get into winter climbing and wanted to get out one last time before heading back to Aberdeen. Lots of other parties out today but many people headed back down when conditions deteriorated and there were some big groups digging snow holes and shelters in the huge amounts of fresh snow.
