caller's blog: February 2006

http://callers.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 26, 2006. Saturday dawned bright and sunny, though very cold - so two out of three conditions for performing Cotswold Morris! Unseasonal though February is, my friends at Rockhopper Morris. Will dance anywhere, anytime if they are invited to do so. Composed as they are of about twenty dancers, all of whom dance with other Morris sides (otherwise known as "a bunch of tarts"), opportunities for regular dancing do not exist, so we have to dance when we can. And also of Oyster Morris. And it...

Where I was MC for a number of concerts. We saw some great acts, notably Martin Simpson. And the biggest hit of the festival, The Spooky Men's Chorale. This year, and the Towersey gig was one of their prizes. Was, overall...

caller's blog: July 2006

http://callers.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 28, 2006. A Change of Course. The usual end-of-term rush has now happened - school concerts, open evening, leavers' disco, final assemblies all went off well, and I attended two retirement parties, one for a colleague who was leaving her headship in Welwyn Garden City for complete retirement, and another that the band played for, who was leaving her school after 34 years as a teacher! More of retirement later. Watch out for him - he's very good. Redbornstoke's annual Toddington Tour was a gr...

Hi everyone and welcome to our site, dedicated to the cruising adventures of Pete and Sue living aboard our yacht Rockhopper of Lune. Last season we had a wonderful time cruising down the Spanish and Portugese Atlantic coast including a very bouncy Biscay crossing in 63kt of wind. We loved the Spanish Rias and the Algarve with its many anchorages. Winter was spent in Gibraltar where we made many new friends. Current Location : Porto Turistico di Roma (Dec08 to Mar09).
