Monday, February 12, 2007. My goal from last week was to start having a regular quiet time every day - this is something I have not been able to accomplish since late in my pregnancy and definitely not during the first 4 weeks of Quinlan's life! Tuesday, August 29, 2006. At just over 22 weeks, we had a milestone in our pregnancy on Sunday night - John was FINALLY able to feel the baby kick! We have been waiting for so long already it seems - and we can't wait to embrace our new role as mom and dad. What an honor it will be! Friday, July 21, 2006. So today is Friday and bascially, I am not working at all. After 6.5 years of working for my company, my department is moving to a different location on our floor and has dedicated this day to moving all our junk. Then, as a celebration, this afternoon we are going to take a cruise, thanks to Al and Alma's, on Lake Minnetonka. Monday, September 18, 2006. Over the weekend, John and I had the priviledge of taking care of, staying overnight with and being "mom and dad" to 5 kids who belong to a very dear couple that we know (they attend E. West)! It was quite the adventure, such a learning experience, so much fun and reinforced our own desire for lots of kiddos! Their children are truly a delight to be around. Sunday, April 08, 2007. Quinlan has had a lot of firsts this week.he visited a new doctor on Monday and had his first set of shots (a month late). He was a trouper and made it through, though it was painful! On Tuesday he got his first professional pictures taken. It was a lot of fun and he did a great job. By Wednesday he had the onset of his first cold. Poor guy! He is just getting over it now, but he has been a tough boy. Saturday he officially turned 3 months old and we just can't believe it!

Tuesday, November 28, 2006. I had my 35 week check-up yesterday and all is well! Less than 5 weeks to go and we couldn't be more excited. The baby is growing and growing (and so is my belly! And I have slowed down a great deal, but I am "hanging in there" - that's my favorite new phrase these days! Here is a picture that John took of me last night. Our goal to have the nursery complete by Thanksgiving weekend was realized and we love how it turned out - we are ready for you Baby R! Side of Crib and Shelf.

Tuesday, October 31, 2006. This past Saturday, John and I took the first of our two birthing classes at Methodist Hospital - where we will be delivering. It was a long day (8:30am-2:30pm) with lots of information, but boy was it helpful! We learned so much about logistics, stages of labor and all about the birth process - we even watched a birth on video! I couldn't believe how emotional I got with the realization that this will be happening soon for us! Our lives are about to change.in a great way!
