imbuildingarockwalljr: Skiing with a Baby
http://imbuildingarockwalljr.blogspot.com/2011/02/skiing-with-baby.html
Friday, February 11, 2011. Skiing with a Baby. We bought our Chariot stroller about two weeks before Imogen was born. We were super bored and anxious with all the waiting for her to arrive, so we burned some time, and dropped about 1100 dollars on the full Chariot package: stroller infant sling bike trailer hitch jogger front wheel ski trailer set up. We try to get out twice a week. Sometimes to the Gatineaus, sometimes to other wooded preserves around town. Sometimes the frozen Ottawa river.

Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Meeting Imy and the Springbar Tent. Lily met Imogen last week. Chances are they will be involved in and adventure someday. I finally got some new poles for my parents old(er than me) Springbar tent. We set it up in the backyard today for inspection and cleaning. I'll probably bring it in to Kirkham's to have the floor seams restitched, but otherwise the tent is in excellent condition. Lily guards the entrance. And then goes on the prowl. Let's see how this goes.

imbuildingarockwalljr: The San Rafael Swell: Goblin Valley and Temple Mountain
http://imbuildingarockwalljr.blogspot.com/2011/05/san-rafael-swell-goblin-valley-and.html
Saturday, May 14, 2011. The San Rafael Swell: Goblin Valley and Temple Mountain. Got a new Goblin. Up and over rises, in the labyrinth of monsters. The valley is on the south side of the Swell, with views of the snow-capped Henry mountains to the south. We camped down the Temple Mountain road, right in the San Rafael Reef formation. S'mores technology advance: flat, square marshmallows that fit better in the graham cracker sandwich. This is why you don't give your kids the keys. Labels: camping with kids.

I'm building a rock wall: September 2010
http://imbuildingarockwall.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
I'm building a rock wall. Monday, September 06, 2010. The right wrong turn on the Great Western Trail. I have a multi-year continuing obsession with a theoretical Trans-Utah north-to-south bikepacking route from the Salt Lake area down to the Boulder mountain area in southern Utah. The theoretical route follows more or less the Great Western Trail. In past years my friends Ben and skiWill and I have done various sections of the route, from the northern Wasatch range ( here. Here's to next year! The Story...

I'm building a rock wall: Scary Stories From the Trail
http://imbuildingarockwall.blogspot.com/2009/10/scary-stories-from-trail.html
I'm building a rock wall. Friday, October 09, 2009. Scary Stories From the Trail. The sad part was the weird bearded cult guy was a person of interest for the police, but because they were so focused on the wrong guy, the never bothered to release descriptions of the other possible suspects. If they had, I would have called the police right quick, cuz that guy was unmistakable, and the case would have been solved in two weeks, not almost a year! Labels: bad police work. imbuildingarockwalljr: October 2010
http://imbuildingarockwalljr.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 22, 2010. We went out to the Gatineau park on Sentier de la Chute. The Fall leaves were perfect. Imogen is getting the standing-on-two-legs thing down. Next week, Imogen is going 'across the pond' to Dresden Germany while her dad goes to a conference. Perhaps her first meat will be bratwurst. Friday, October 8, 2010. Cyclocross with the kiddos. But here we see he's really more interested in watching the riders down by the track. The velodrome is crazy! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
