The Barnette Family: No One Gets Left Behind. Thursday, March 12, 2009. To Instruct. or is it to Torment? As many of you know, I'm an avid reader, but occasionally it takes me a couple of tries with a book. I have a copy of Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey. Bought at a yard sale years ago for $.10) that I have tried multiple times to get through. The Barnette Family: No One Gets Left Behind. Sunday, April 19, 2009. We had a wonderful Easter! On Saturday, the day dawned cold and foggy. We traveled down to the Phoenix area to have and Easter dinner with Eedad's family. As we left, the fog was so thick there was maybe a quarter of a mile visibility! Such crazy Easter weekend weather! His sister and her husband were kind enough to host everyone and took on the brunt of the work of making fried chicken (my favorite! I failed at taking pictures though.

Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Easter is getting to be my most favorite holiday. I love the spring, the activities and remembering the Savior and what He did for us. This year Easter was over Conference weekend. On Saturday we went up to the cabin and watched conference and then had an Easter egg hunt. Cami had even made a treasure hunt for the older kids. Sunday, August 5, 2012. Christian wanted a little of everything for his birthday this year. I mean, he wanted to do a little of everything. Sunday, January 26, 2014. We had to take the gingerbread house down to Scott's bedroom so he could see it. He didn't get to commandeer this year. I was pretty proud of the tree this year. Thursday, June 18, 2015. The first month of summer break was taken up with camps. The girls went to Vocal Motion camp and had a great time. They have been singing and dancing ever since. Wednesday, June 13, 2012. I was in charge of my family reunion this year. I thought we should get at least a little away since the last few years have just been in Provo. And maybe people would stick around the whole time. As it turned out, not so much. But we had fun in our short time together. The kids were so excited about the squirrels but I scared them by telling them they bit. Didn't stop Scott from getting this closeup. On our hike up to Emerald Pools. It was beautiful.
