I remember, pre-missions, I used to pray for the sick, for ailing relatives or elderly neighbors. I would say a quick Our Father and then pat myself on the back, having done my duty as a believing Christian. But what exactly DID I believe? Did I believe in signs and wonders? Did I believe that my God is a loving Father Who can and does answer my prayers?

Properly spelled, it would be Pads, but in the English language this spelling doesn’t lend itself to the correct pronunciation. “Pads” comes from Padre and is just one of the many nicknames we have for Father Joe, the parish priest with whom we work here in Sagay. Website Design by Terry V Henderson. A Short History of Romero’s Orchard. The orchard requires a lot of hard work and sacrifice but Mr. Romero always found a way to juggle raising his family, having a full-time job at the State Land Office in Santa Fe (which he retired from in 1991), and operating the orchard. His late wife Nina and his two children Matias and Felice, helped out with the picking during the season. Photos will be updated periodically. Thanks and we hope to see you soon!
