Focus on flora and fungi. The fungi and flora that share our space. Lilies (and grasses) of the valley. November 10, 2014. The War Prayer, a short story or prose poem by Mark Twain, is a scathing indictment of war, and particularly of blind patriotic and religious fervor as motivations for war. The piece was left unpublished by Mark Twain at his death in April 1910, largely due to pressure from his family, who feared that the story would be considered sacrilegious. Read more ». Life, Running, and Everything

Life, Running, and Everything. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Tahoe Rim Trail 50 Mile - 9:53:58. A beautiful morning at the race start. The weather was great for running - nice and cool in the morning and never really too hot. The scenery was gorgeous, when I took a moment to appreciate it. The race was superbly well-organized, as usual, and had fantastic volunteers and course markings. It was wonderful seeing so many friends from my Coastside Running Club. I ran this 50 mile race three years ago ( race report.
