Room 14 FIS 2015. Wednesday, 13 May 2015. Here are a few pictures from the Science Roadshow that the Year 8s attended a few weeks ago. We saw some fascinating experiments that taught us about scientific concepts and enjoyed a show about electricity. Room 14 FIS 2015. Wednesday, 27 May 2015. Over the past few weeks we have been exploring the phenomena magnetism. We have mostly been using bar magnets and have learnt that north and south poles on a magnet attract. Each other but the same poles repel. Yesterday we also watched the following video clip which explained that Earth is a giant magnet. Because the inner core turns faster than the rest of the Earth, creating a magnetic field. Throughout the last term, we have been looking at how we can overcome challenges and fears. I will never forget that time when the water was calm and silent.
