Kennard Ramphal has also published a number of poems, included in the anthology titled Roraima: An anthology of poetry from emerging Caribbean Canadian writers. Ken Ramphal was born in Canal No. 2 Polder, Guyana. He attended Perpetua Kawall Memorial Canadian Mission School and started teaching, as a Pupil Teacher, at Wales Canadian MissionSchool at the age of 14. Ken later joined the Guyana Defence Force as an infantry officer and served asaide-de-camp to H.E. Sir Edward Luckhoo and H.E. Arthur Chung. He retired from the army with the rank of captain and immigrated to Canada in 1975. He is currently retired, and living in Ajax, Ontario. Website by Acts 29 Tech.
