VERMONT MAPLE SYRUP MULE. April 9, 2015. Since the grass seems to be playing hide and seek—two days ago the sun was out, snow was melting and robins were eagerly looking for tasty tidbits—but this morning I awoke to at least 3″ of new fallen snow! Ah ha, as you can see by the pictures below I figured out a way to use labels and not stick them on the bottles. I’m sure no one will leaf (leave-couldn’t resist) their bottle behind. I carefully made my way from the road to the barn and was pleased to see that there isn’t a lot of snow piled up in front of the barn doors. Maybe I won’t have to wait for all the snow to melt. It was challenging because of the downpour, puddles, angles and big tree routes sticking out of the ground. Wet arrival at Mt Desert Campground. Challenging spot to back into with all the roots. The ground was particularly sloped as you can see by the photos of the camper once it’s unhitched. How low can it go? Believe it or not the camper is level. Ellalou on the rocks. Tent room is up.
