Sunday, August 2, 2015. What a lovely July! Lots of family time, not a lot of going anywhere, enough teaching to buy groceries (and gas to Maine.) and only one sad event. (Sometimes college students have to leave Ithaca and get on with their lives even though you offered them a PERFECTLY GOOD bunk in the basement and a career as a sister-wife.). We channeled our sadness into making fruit flowers.). And we finished the skillet cake. We "made for Rachel."). Lots of reading to her sister in the mornings.

Monday, August 10, 2015. We left the house! Early morning beach helper = the cutest. Waiting for daddy to set up the sun tent. Also trying to convince Emma that the crashing sound of the waves wasn't scary. (We eventually succeeded.). One of the perks of getting to the beach before 8am is that NO ONE ELSE is there. Just us and the mountains. And no one will notice when you eventually cover your sister in sand. I asked Ross if he did this just to avoid having to trek back to the port-a-potties. The 4 of Us.
