Being the World: March 2011
http://beingtheworld.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
I know that nothing has been real without my beholding it. All becoming has needed me. My looking ripens things, and they come towards me, to meet me and be met. (Rainer Maria Rilke, Translated by Anita Barrows and Joanna Macy). The ultimate balance question - work home balance. I couldn’t sleep and I am up at 4:30 am on a Sunday morning listening to Nigel Marsh : How to make work-life balance work. On TED talk. Ironic. Read more here at " The ultimate balance question. Being the World: How do you believe in yourself
http://beingtheworld.blogspot.com/2011/03/how-do-you-beleive-in-yourself.html
I know that nothing has been real without my beholding it. All becoming has needed me. My looking ripens things, and they come towards me, to meet me and be met. (Rainer Maria Rilke, Translated by Anita Barrows and Joanna Macy). How do you believe in yourself. We know we must believe in ourselves in order to achieve anything, but how do I learn to believe in myself? This was a question that was posed to me at a recent workshop I was leading with CitiBank (Sri Lanka) executives. About 'Being the World'.

Being the World: May 2009
http://beingtheworld.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
I know that nothing has been real without my beholding it. All becoming has needed me. My looking ripens things, and they come towards me, to meet me and be met. (Rainer Maria Rilke, Translated by Anita Barrows and Joanna Macy). Making sense of the jubilance and victory, amidst confused feelings. A passenger in a three wheeler watches me while I type this. He smiles at me. It is a smile of victory. I am left with confused feelings. Why am I not rejoicing and jubilant. Joining in the exhilarating conv...

I know that nothing has been real without my beholding it. All becoming has needed me. My looking ripens things, and they come towards me, to meet me and be met. (Rainer Maria Rilke, Translated by Anita Barrows and Joanna Macy). My first posting to my first blog! The concept of ‘being the world’ is that we are inseparable from the world we live in, and that the change we want to see in the world is within us, and we must live and act today as if we are already living in the world we dream of. The concept...

Being the World: June 2010
http://beingtheworld.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
I know that nothing has been real without my beholding it. All becoming has needed me. My looking ripens things, and they come towards me, to meet me and be met. (Rainer Maria Rilke, Translated by Anita Barrows and Joanna Macy). What is your gentle action today? Take a deep breath if you are feeling powerless.
