Ofsted, in their instructions for the Self Evaluation Form, are using the following structure. 97-100% Vast/overwhelming majority or almost all. 80-96% Very large majority, most. 4-19% Very small minority, few. 0-3% Almost none/very few. Wednesday, 18 November 2009. Does OFSTED have anything to do with learning? Funny old business OFSTED inspections. Where do they fit in the scheme of things? What have OFSTED got to do with learning? OFSTED is supposed to be part of the learning process and I think it should be but does it help develop schools as learning institutions? I suspect the outcomes schools are expected to achieve will become the standards schools have to work towards, or how do you compare performance? With hints of reforming OFSTED to improve accountability, schools will need to be sure of the views of their school community. Are parents happy with their child’s progress? Tuesday, 7 September 2010. It's quite interesting to see there is an obligation for Academies to "support another school to raise standards" ( www.education.gov.uk/academies/becomeanacademy. How does an Academy become linked to the "other school"? Hopefully the funding will enable Academies to put support structures in place for the "other school" but how will that all work?
