Relative Pitch: Rudsambee ramblings. A place to keep up to date with all that is going on in Rudsambee Company of Singers. Tuesday, 1 May 2012. And even the sopranos have been a bit thin on the ground recently. Yey! For the altos – we will take over and reign supreme. Perhaps Tormis knew what he was up to after all, when he wrote the alto line above the soprano. What did we sing? Oops You’ve guessed it. No bloody idea. Something for the CD, I imagine. What a way to go. Not that I mean to make mischief.

Relative Pitch: Rudsambee ramblings. A place to keep up to date with all that is going on in Rudsambee Company of Singers. Wednesday, 30 May 2012. My dear and faithful Reader/s. Sadly the time has come for me to hang up my Blogetteer’s. hmmm. apron? It’s a messy business). All suggestions gratefully received. I don’t know if we will find anyone foolish (and generally idle) enough to take my place but, as you see, the times they are a-changing and perhaps the blog has had its day. Thank you for reading.

Relative Pitch: Rudsambee ramblings. A place to keep up to date with all that is going on in Rudsambee Company of Singers. Tuesday, 5 July 2011. Sad day. Rufus, choir cat-mascot of the male variety, is no more. Rosie is still going strong but will no doubt start missing her pal very soon. We all send our love and condolences to the Wexler family, don’t we? Rehearsals will be very quiet – unless, of course, it’s Rosie who does the yowling. Trust me not to know. Where’s the commitment? Great concert at the...

Relative Pitch: Rudsambee ramblings. A place to keep up to date with all that is going on in Rudsambee Company of Singers. Friday, 18 February 2011. The long dark rehearsal of the soul. Quite how I managed to be fifteen minutes behind I have no idea, but I was. Luckily I wasn’t the only one and Tamsin – who joined us last week for the first time – arrived only seconds before me. I really don’t remember if anyone was even later but I doubt it. That would be Morten Lauridsen's O Nata Lux. Ta muchly. Fo...

Relative Pitch: Rudsambee ramblings. A place to keep up to date with all that is going on in Rudsambee Company of Singers. Sunday, 26 February 2012. What can I tell you about instead? I did nothing on Wednesday night although free to do whatever I fancied. Lazy? Yesterday I did some gardening. This followed a trundle to-and-from Craiglockhart for a tennis session. Impressive, eh? Yes, but just how badly did I play? But you know that already. This seems mighty unfair. And is definitely rather costly.

Relative Pitch: Rudsambee ramblings. A place to keep up to date with all that is going on in Rudsambee Company of Singers. Monday, 29 August 2011. And then there were 8. I’m about written out today. Kay has her 40th birthday party (40? Anyhow – Wednesday. Hmm. Jenny felt moved to send round an e-mail bewailing the lack of choir commitment at the moment which, to be fair, IS somewhat wanting. Only eight of us turned up – not a good showing. Where were you all, Peeps? Music gone. Why? Where is my music?
