A series of life events over the next few years changed that. I started making small changes through diet, but in 2011 made the big jump to running again. In fact, 1 in 3 of our children will develop diabetes in their lifetime if current trends continue. In 2011, more than 18 million people JUST IN THE UNITED STATES were diagnosed with diabetes. Those are just the ones diagnosed. That doesn't include the millions who go undiagnosed and untreated each year.

We have decided to extend our focus beyond individual events like Run Across KY and develop into more of an introductory running, walking, and healthier living group.
