Road and Trail Running. Sunday, April 26, 2015. It is taper time here in Pittsburgh! Commence screaming into pillows, experiencing anxiety about every tiny ache and pain (of which there seem to be more and more daily as we heal from training), and second guessing our training. Did I log enough miles? I got sick and had to take off that week! I am totally screwed now! I know.it is easy to say, but hard to do. On a side note: this post is basically a reminder to myself. Road and Trail Running. Monday, May 25, 2015. The Pittsburgh Marathon is now about 3 weeks behind me and the God's Country Marathon less than 2 weeks ahead. I planned to do a few easy warmup miles, run at least part of it at a “tempo effort” (not knowing what the course would be like), then do a few miles cooldown. Road and Trail Running. Tuesday, August 4, 2015. After Burning River I had planned to take a full week of rest or more. Well, I likely will be getting a little more than that. Later in the day Tara and I headed out to do our household shopping for the week. After a couple of hours my foot really got sore again and then , as quickly as it came, was gone.
