http://rundriven.blogspot.com/2014/01/im-baaaaa-aaaack-or-2014-mount.html

Sunday, January 19, 2014. I'm "baaaaa-aaaack" , or the 2014 Mount Washington Yeti Snowshoe Race! The title of the blog is borrowed from a dear friend of mine, Steph, who wrote that on my facebook wall after I talked about completing this race. It struck a chord with me, it made me remember - oh yeah.I was that girl who did something pretty great in a race a while back. Waaaay back, it feels like. Flash backward to me thinking entering a snowshoe race in the 'enduro' category after only stringing one week.

http://rundriven.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 28, 2014. QOM, or "What it's like to be a mumma-athlete". First off, this is not a blog about anything related to Strava. I still only vaguely know what it is and still adamantly refuse to get a 'bike computer'. I'm talking metaphorical mountains here, people. Side note: I know now it's impossible to sing the Itsy-Bitsy-Spider while typing a blog. I just tried. It's a no go. I am getting back out on the trails. It was harder, much. How do other moms do it? I am going backwards". It w...

The Easy Stuff (Week 3 of 30) | RunFasterSarah (for the love of running)

https://runfastersarah.com/2014/01/21/the-easy-stuff-week-3-of-30

RunFasterSarah (for the love of running). The story of my relentless pursuit of a sub-3:21 marathon. The Easy Stuff (Week 3 of 30). This entry was posted on January 21, 2014, in Training. It’s happening again. I’m sitting here working, typing In my running clothes! I’d scheduled another 60km week and indeed had no trouble finishing with 63km. Monday – 10k, easy. Tuesday – 9k, easy. Wednesday morning – 5k, easy. And then Wednesday night rolled around. I figured I might attempt some speed. I didn’t n...

RunFasterSarah (for the love of running). The story of my relentless pursuit of a sub-3:21 marathon. Let’s Get Racing! Week 5 of 30). This entry was posted on February 2, 2014, in Mileage. It’s funny I’m almost surprised to say I feel great! Especially because I ran the Steveston Icebreaker 8km race today, after running 22km yesterday, and at the end of my highest mileage week thus far in my 30-week schedule. I’d wanted to hit 105km this week, and I easily hit 108km. So why bother with a race? Other chal...

RunFasterSarah (for the love of running). The story of my relentless pursuit of a sub-3:21 marathon. Hitting it Big (Week 26 of 30). This entry was posted on July 8, 2014, in Mileage. And tagged high mileage. I took Sunday off after my Seattle Rock n Roll Half marathon. The day after a race, sometimes I’ll do a recovery run, sometimes I just take the day off. I’m glad I took the day off, because then I had this grand idea. Why don’t we run 150km in our upcoming training week? I mean, why not, right?

The hour arrived (6am, Sunday morning, on July 27th, 2014), it flew by (42.2km / 26.2mi), and then it was over. Oh that finish line. My bib told me to make my way into corral B. And tagged eat 2 run. It’s interesting to note I can clock 82km in a week while feeling awful. Notes on how I felt that week on my @runfastersarah IG. The big question, however, was how did that happen to me and was there anything I could do to ensure it never happened again? And then I answered that question.

Monday, September 26, 2011. So I am back training with full focus just as the weather has turned in Vancouver. One thing that I have decided to do is do a post everyday called the Monday Minute. How it will work is I will sum up a thought in 60 Seconds (of my mediocre typing speed). Leaving on red top. That took like 85 seconds but it was close :). Sunday, September 25, 2011. Not Always Expected Results. A bit of a random day of Vancouver weather today - and was not the nicest out there on the run. n...
