Thomas' Blog: FIRST TWENTY IN TWENTY FIFTEEN
http://thomasg86.blogspot.com/2015/08/first-twenty-in-twenty-fifteen.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. FIRST TWENTY IN TWENTY FIFTEEN. A majority of the 3:30 pace group at the end of the Marathon Course run. I think we started out with ten. Most marathon training plans have a final twenty mile run before you step down for two weekends before the race. So your long runs go something like: 20, 14, 8, marathon. Why do I mention this so far out from the marathon? Much fitness in two weeks. As long as I got back on track, I should be fine. Thankfully, the logic seemed to work! 10/4/15 ...

Jedi Mama: Strong Running Mama
http://thejedimama.blogspot.com/2015/05/strong-running-mama.html
Monday, May 4, 2015. I started running 5 years ago. The voice inside my head is pretty loud. "Why are you even doing this? You've been a couch potato bookworm your entire life. You don't belong here. You can't do this, why even try? Who do you think you are? I've had a few good runs in the last couple of weeks to help mute that voice, but it was still there. Sara (1st woman overall), Kathleen (4th overall and 1st in Age Group), and me. Starting a wee bit too fast. I finished the race in 27:22. I needed t...

Jedi Mama: Worked hard = win
http://thejedimama.blogspot.com/2014/05/worked-hard-win.html
Monday, May 5, 2014. Worked hard = win. I didn't do it. I didn't break my PR. Didn't come close. And I'm okay with that (now). Before the race: Melissa, Sara, me and Elisa. I started out okay and did my first mile right on target but then I just slowed down. I thought about Lauren Fleshman. Telling me to go get it:. And I sped up. But it just wasn't quite enough to get the time I wanted. I finished in 28:06. Darlene, Sara, me, Elisa and Melissa with her big-ass trophy. Youre a kick ass woman! Header imag...

Jedi Mama: This is 40
http://thejedimama.blogspot.com/2015/07/this-is-40.html
Wednesday, July 8, 2015. I meant to do so many posts over the last month but nothing has quite been how I planned it. I'm going to try to prevent writing a novel here, so to be very brief:. At the opposite end of the spectrum, also in June, Vader threw me a "surprise" early 40th birthday party. I knew it was coming but not where or when (until that week). It was a great night filled with wonderful friends and the perfect beginning to what will no doubt be my best decade yet. Ignore the red eye. B•l...

runthroughthis: June 2011
http://runthroughthis.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Father, Husband, Runner, Type-1 diabetic - in that order. Running through everything life can throw at me, and sometimes that includes races! Recovery. . . and More! So now I’m back to my base of 50 mpw just by running to work and back, but I need to find a good place to put some more training in for the trails. I’m planning on hitting the trails near my house on Saturday and putting in 10 or 15 miles, just to keep my legs used to moving on the terrain. Anyway, it was an interesting experience.

Papa Bear's Marathon "MANIAC" Training. Marathon Maniac #788 on a 50 state journey, 8 marathons have been completed in 6 states in the last 12 months (MO, OK(2), HI(2), AR, TX, MN). Sunday, March 30, 2008. The Maniac Is Back! I can add more detail if anyone might be interested in running this race in the future, I don't think I'll be adding it to my conquests to repeat, at least for a while. But it is certainly a fun race and scenic. Posted by Randy - Maniac #788. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Back of the ...

Words of the Day. My images at seen.by. I’m still here – others are not. Sometimes, life simply doesn’t allow one to look after one’s blog. Then there’s a break. Cause for this has been, partly, “post 404” at fotografr.de, the last one, for 8mt has shut down his blog. This news still has me locked in a kind of shock … As far as one gathers, he spends his time polishing up the image of an unknown. Schauplatz ist wieder da: Gemischte Vorspeisenplatte.
