July | 2015 | The Blog Runner
https://theblogrunner.wordpress.com/2015/07
From couch to 5k and then…. July 25, 2015. Today is parkrun day, but instead of doing my usual marshalling duties, I decided to run instead… well, run/walk at least. It has been a while since I’ve done a 5K, so I decided to use a 3:1 run/walk ratio in the knowledge that I’d probably have to adjust it at some point during the run. It was going to be slow, but I didn’t mind and figured that I’d be happy if I could complete the course in under 35 minutes. How’s your running going? Did you do parkrun today?
Parkrun Day | The Blog Runner
https://theblogrunner.wordpress.com/2015/07/18/parkrun-day
From couch to 5k and then…. July 18, 2015. Today is Saturday, which for me means volunteering at the new Hove Prom parkrun. As I won’t be running 5K again for a while, I’ve signed up for marshalling duty for the next few weeks, which is always good fun. After last week’s inaugural run on Hove Promenade, today was a bit quieter with 164 runners compared to last week’s 294. As for my own running, well, that’s another story. Rule #1 – Listen to your body. Or that’s what I keep reminding myself anyway. Sorry...

June | 2015 | The Blog Runner
https://theblogrunner.wordpress.com/2015/06
From couch to 5k and then…. June 12, 2015. I know, it’s not a word, but ‘bleurgh’ describes exactly everything about my run this evening. I was supposed to do 3K (not much, I know) but I only managed 2, then walked a bit and then ran a bit to make 2.5. Not good. Not good at all. But I did try my best, I promise. As soon as I stopped running though, I felt terrible and decided to sit down for a bit. This is not something I normally do straight after running as I like to walk to cool down, but today I ...

From couch to 5k and then…. August 23, 2015. Click the badge to visit the Virtual Running UK Blog Hop. I didn’t quite manage to stick to the schedule this week, so I’m a little bit behind with my adapted C25K plan. Instead of doing the End of Week Five 20 minute run today, I ended up doing the midweek run instead. Unfortunately though, my Garmin doesn’t seem to be getting along very well with my laptop at the moment so I’ll have to sort that out to be sure, but all being well I’m hoping...Please share yo...

From couch to 5k and then…. September 11, 2016. After a couple of days rest, the old calf was feeling much better this morning, so I headed to the seafront for a nice easy 5K. The temperature had dropped a bit over night and it felt lovely and cool when I set off. My aim was to run/walk 5K in something between 35 and 37 minutes, using a 3:1 ratio. Then, to top off this Sporting Sunday, today is the first weekend of the new NFL season. The Giants (my favourite team) don’t play until 9:25pm, so I...Today w...
Getting Back To A Routine | The Blog Runner

From couch to 5k and then…. August 11, 2015. Getting Back To A Routine. My routine has been all over the place recently, not just with running but with life in general. I’m not complaining though. It has been good to change things up a bit, but when it comes down to it, I guess I like to have a plan – particularly when it comes to training. So, last week I decided to re-write my training plan, starting from C25K Week 4, or thereabouts. How’s your training going? Laquo; Previous post. Next post ». I adapt...
C25K Week 2 Garmin Fail | The Blog Runner
https://theblogrunner.wordpress.com/2015/07/19/c25k-week-2-garmin-fail
From couch to 5k and then…. July 19, 2015. C25K Week 2 Garmin Fail. As promised, I managed to haul my ass out of bed this morning for my Couch To 5K Week 2 run. Unfortunately, my Garmin had other ideas so I had to make do with my GymBoss and work out my time and distance afterwards. Still, I wasn’t going to be too anal about it and figured I would aim to cover around 3K, finishing on a run segment. How’s your running going? Did you get out for a run today? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

Chasing My Mind
Sunday, June 14, 2015. Recently I had the change to try a new Protein Powder through that group. Everlast Vegan Protein Vanilla. Normally, protein powder-YUCK! My sample came and I saw that it was vanilla.not chocolate. There was potential. I figured I had a long run coming up in a couple of weekends and I would give it a try after that run. It had a creamer texture and was a little thicker then what I had expected, but it tasted good! So, I checked the ingredients, the nutrition and the cost. I have nev...

Running My own life. As We Grow We Become Exactly What We Are Meant To Be. Thinking Out Loud #12. December 29, 2016. Well it’s been awhile since I last blogged and miss it dearly. I began writing this post while sitting in my hotel room in Huntington Beach California waiting to conduct and interview last week. It seemed to be a good time to write… especially seeing as Thinking out loud was one of my favourite things to write and after 6 interviews I needed some enjoyment. Its so true when they say its im...
Running My Own Race — Life is a marathon, so pace yourself and run your own race.
Races on My Schedule. Running My Own Race. Life is a marathon, so pace yourself and run your own race. Still Crazy After All These Years. January 11, 2013. I’m pretty excited about Arizona! I would call running a half under 2 hours more of a dream than a goal. One of my 2013 running goals is to run 100 miles a month. January got off to a great start with 13 miles at the Polar Dash Half Marathon. Here I am with a half frozen face at the turn around:. Comments on this entry are closed }. December 31, 2012.

One woman's journey to heath and happiness. Me, Myself and I. Today I went back to the gym for the first time since before Christmas! Don’t get me wrong, it was a hard time, but so worth it. Running Myself into a Coma
Sunday, June 21, 2015. 2015 The NUT 100K Race Report. It's been a rough first half of the year, filled with fits and starts, desperately trying to find the momentum to carry myself out of the post Bryce 100 funk of injuries and overall fatigue, that's been plaguing me for over half a year.
