A young scientist that runs…a lot. I'm a 20 something year old guy that works in the medical research field. I love running. Maybe a little too much. Here is the story of my everyday life with my career, my running, girlfriend, family, and friends! September 10, 2012. Saturday morning, the girlfriend and I drove an hour out of the city to a small town for a 9 mile race. It was an impromptu race that we decided to run in and we didn’t really set our sights … Continue reading →. The feelings of fall. I'm a...

A young scientist that runs…a lot. Running technologies…good or bad? September 4, 2012. I wish that title was a description of how I did on my race on Saturday, but unfortunately it was not. Pretty far from that in fact, but lets move on…Its just letting you know this is my very first post and I hope you all take it easy on me. I’m new to this and hoping I don’t step on too many people’s toes. Along with all that running, I’m a huge fan of food….or foodie I guess is the correct terminolog...There will de...

Weekend recap. | Running with Science

https://runningwithscience.wordpress.com/2012/09/10/weekend-recap

A young scientist that runs…a lot. The feelings of fall. September 10, 2012. And I think Saturday morning was the first day temperatures dropped down so much so quickly. I had on along sleeve tech shirt and I was still shivering. Anyways, the race itself was pretty well organized. It was a decently small local race, but this town was definitely a running town. 9 miles of hills. Not some sissy bumps here and there but, consistently big hills! 1) How was your weekend? 2) Do you like flat races? I'm a 20 so...

A young scientist that runs…a lot. Running technologies…good or bad? Weekend recap. →. The feelings of fall. September 7, 2012. Today, I was totally reminded of the changing of the seasons and that summer is really coming to an end soon and Fall, is almost here. What were these signs/feelings? Work Out = 3 miles EASY run. Running last night at my local metropark also reminded me of the fall coming. The leaves started littering the trail and what normally is pretty clean running area was filled with t...

I have always loved to dance. As an adult adoptee, a bio mom, and an adoptive mom, I dance between love and loss regularly. I dance with joy over small victories and small signs of acceptance. I dance to escape pain and to avoid obvious rejection from my family(ies). Let me continue to dance with the pain, the understanding, the surrender, His plan, and not faint. December 12, 2013. Reading My Birth Mom. Dear birth mom, did you take dance lessons? Did you walk to dance class or did your mom take you?

Running With Sass

I have been athletic my whole life. I started playing basketball in 3rd grade, then soon after added soccer, then in Jr. High I dropped soccer for volleyball and Track (still playing basketball.) All through High School I was a three sport athlete, and I could eat whatever I wanted! Sme days I had basketball practice at 5:30 am then volleyball after school, and all my sports overlapped. So, let's just say i was burning a ton of calories! I am also 5'9" and carry weight pretty well. Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

Running With Sass

Still Running With Sass. March 6, 2013. I have thought about how I would word this post over and over for the past couple of months. Let me preface by saying I hate change. It has always been a flaw of mine, as I am sentimental and very much a lover of routine. I am learning that sometimes change is good, and required for growth. Pleased to announce my new blog: Through Heather’s Looking Glass. If you remember ANY portion of this long post, I want you to remember one thing: I’m still me. Which is a HUGE ...

Running and healthy living with a touch of Sass! February 24, 2016. Posted by Heathers Looking Glass under Uncategorized. Sorry I have been MIA but I had a blast in Disney and was supposed to go home yesterday, but due to some severe weather, I wasn’t able to make it home. Tuesday morning I took the shuttle to the airport and kept an eye on the weather the whole time. The plane was on time and we were to be landing right as the bad weather approached…and approach it did. About an hour after getting home,...

Just another WordPress.com site. Fibroids–the good, the bad and the ugly. April 21, 2015. Fibroids, or leiomyomata are common overgrowths of the uterine muscle wall. They usually look white, feel rubbery, and are solid. They may be large or small–often location is more indicative of symptoms than size. Physicians describe three types of fibroids. Pedunculated fibroids are usually subserosal fibroids attached to the outside of the uterus by a stalk. On occasion they can undergo torsion, or twisting ar...
