A natural history of Runswick Bay: Runswick kayak and paddleboard hire: now you can see Runswick from the sea.

http://runswickbay.blogspot.com/2015/07/runswick-kayak-and-paddleboard-hire-now.html

Guide to Runswick Fossils. Runswick kayak and paddleboard hire: now you can see Runswick from the sea. Having been walking, fossiling, collecting, observing and generally loving Runswick Bay for about 25 years, I've always thought it a practically perfect place (the Sunday Times agrees, listing Runswick as one of the top 20 wild places to live in Britain). The one thing missing? Some way for people to take to the water on a whim, without all the hassle of boat ownership, trailers etc. etc. Peter McGrath ...

A natural history of Runswick Bay: Jurassic marine fossils in Whitby Museum.

http://runswickbay.blogspot.com/2015/05/jurassic-marine-fossils-in-whitby-museum.html

Guide to Runswick Fossils. Jurassic marine fossils in Whitby Museum. It's very gray and mizzly outside, not really beach-fossiling-weather so if you're in the area and at a loose end, why not visit Whitby Museum. Actually, you should visit it in any weather. Wanderin' Weeta (With Waterfowl and Weeds): Stained glass wings

http://wanderinweeta.blogspot.com/2015/07/stained-glass-wings.html

Wanderin' Weeta (With Waterfowl and Weeds). Nature notes and photos from wanderings in BC, Canada, mostly in the Lower Fraser Valley, Bella Coola, and Vancouver Island. Good places to walk. Friday, July 31, 2015. Aren't these wings pretty? Wood gnat, Sylvicola sp. And he flew directly to the flashlight I was using as a side light, and stood there, posing for me. And yes, I can see the halteres, one on either side, where the second pair of wings would be if he weren't a fly. View my complete profile.

Castle House Holiday Cottage Runswick Bay

Do you remember when holidays were simple? Playing on soft sandy beaches, building sand castles and messing around in rock pools. Think those days have gone forever? Then picture this, white painted cottages nestling against a cliff looking south across a pretty bay. Narrow winding paths twisting around traditional fisherman’s cottages, each one unique meandering down a narrow cobbled road that few cars access. All of this will be yours when you stay in Runswick Bay. And the best is yet to come. Watch bo...
