The Mason Jar: May 2012
http://the-masonjar.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Me and the JAR. Sunday, May 13, 2012. The grass is getting greener, the days are getting warmer and that can only mean one thing. my mom's spending her weekends in the garden. This year for Mother's Day I got her started on her herb garden. After a trip to a local green house and Canadian Tire I was prepped for an afternoon of potting jars. A bag of potting soil. A variety of potted herbs - If you are really on the ball, which I wasn't, you can do this from seed. Put some potting soil in each of the jars.

Katzendame: Adoption Profile: Lionheart **ADOPTED!!**
http://katzendame.blogspot.com/2012/02/adoption-profile-lionheart.html
Sunday, 26 February 2012. Adoption Profile: Lionheart * ADOPTED! When I entered the Niagara Falls Humane Society's Adoption Centre in Niagara Square, it was difficult to not get lost in the mews and purrs of a dozen or so lovely and unique felines. But I was on a mission. I approached one of the volunteers and told them I was looking for a very specific cat. "Please show me the cat that has been here the longest," I asked, "the one who deserves a home so much but just hasn't caught a break.". Lionheart w...

http://charitablecommunity.blogspot.com/2012/02/ive-seen-enough-youtube-videos-to-equal.html
Talk about spreading kindness. Sunday, 19 February 2012. I've seen enough YouTube videos to equal the length of a few feature films. And, to tell you the truth, I've enjoyed them as much as the films. I like the simple, real, funny and heartfelt quality that comes through in many YouTube videos. Some videos go viral, reaching thousands or millions of people. Imagine the powerful messages that could be conveyed and how far they could reach. What do you think about these videos? February 19, 2012. My mom s...

Talk about spreading kindness. Sunday, 4 March 2012. The Web has provided me many opportunities to connect with, listen, watch and understand people that I probably would not have met in a different scenario. So, I'd like to make a suggestion: pay attention. Many of us love social media websites (you're reading a blog, aren't you? So, are you in? March 05, 2012. Sounds like a good idea :). March 05, 2012. I guess so. Ill just post a funny joke some other time. March 05, 2012. March 12, 2012. Like Pam, I ...

Katzendame: The Bunna Came Back
http://katzendame.blogspot.com/2012/02/bunna-came-back.html
Sunday, 12 February 2012. The Bunna Came Back. The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart. 8221; – Elisabeth Foley. She is our 16-year-old Siamese, and as far as anyone is concerned, a mean old biddy. Her deep-blue eyes are frosted with cataracts and her graceful and agile dance has deteriorated to a clumsy, cautious shuffle. She bumps into walls, howls at the ceiling fan, and generally bumbles about with the dexterity of a newborn. I am a singin...

Thursday, 12 April 2012. Adoption Profile: Achilles * ADOPTED! Sigh* I sure will miss this place once my time here is up. It's not all Fancy Feast and belly rubs though. Spending every weekday with these cats naturally creates an immense bond between us, so seeing them go is tough, but clearly the objective of the shelter. They would all be happier in forever homes. Which is why I think it's time for another adoption profile. This week:. Achillies the Shy Guy. Until next time, purr on kittens. Love at Fi...

The Mason Jar: me & the JAR
http://the-masonjar.blogspot.com/p/me-jar.html
Me and the JAR. Me and the JAR. Caught between the grape vines of Niagara and the city lights of Toronto you can catch me on the weekends searching for treasures. I am a collector, organizer, creator and a darn good taste tester. The tradition of preserving is passed down in many households. Well – not mine! The only thing that was passed down to me has been my fascination with the jars themselves. There is only one rule: every post must have a connection to the jars. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Talk about spreading kindness. Monday, 27 February 2012. Another week has come and gone, and all week long I noticed the goodness in people around me. It was many little things that could go unnoticed, but instead, were noticed. It was efforts to laugh at others' jokes when the jokes weren't very funny, to give gifts when they were unexpected, to give a hand to hold when a hand was needed. It was a beautiful friend reaching out to me, sending an email to let me know she was thinking of me. March 09, 2012.
