Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel: August 2011
http://briarleafarm.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel. Rustic Road 4 Glenwood City, WI. Tuesday, August 16, 2011. Summer is beginning to wind down; we dug half the potatoes yesterday - they are beauties! We moved them up out of the swampy garden area of last year which turns out was the right thing to do. Looks like the reds were the most prolific; I'll be curious about the Yukon Golds since it seems to me we've had quite a bit of rot with them in the past. Friday, August 5, 2011. Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel: October 2012
http://briarleafarm.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel. Rustic Road 4 Glenwood City, WI. Saturday, October 27, 2012. Here is our new puppy Nola who has come all the way from Alaska. She and Zelda have been getting along; Zelda is showing her the ropes and she's been learning. We don't ever leave the two of them unsupervised; even though today Zelda is the bigger of the two, Nola outweighs her already by about 10lbs and could easily injure out little butterfly girl. Friday, October 19, 2012. Thursday, October 11, 2012. We ship...

If you are sending a deposit for one of Trouble's pups please note that we will not be home in Wisconsin for a few more weeks. Friday, February 24, 2012. Jim buying dried chilis. On to things dog for a moment! Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Saturday, February 18, 2012. Thursday, February 16, 2012. Here you see (if you look very closely) part of an enormous dairy.yes,...

Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel: June 2012
http://briarleafarm.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel. Rustic Road 4 Glenwood City, WI. Friday, June 22, 2012. In from mowing our weed.um, hay field, I am a little dizzy from the heat and the black polyester back brace that has rivers of sweat running down my back. What a delight to see this little face peering out at me! I can't tell yet if he is a red squirrel or a chipmunk but regardless, he's part of our daily life now as we monitor his progress from just baby to (hopefully) youngster. Sunday, June 17, 2012. In this week...

Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel: August 2012
http://briarleafarm.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel. Rustic Road 4 Glenwood City, WI. Wednesday, August 29, 2012. An article from the Angry Vet website at www.angryvet.com. We need to bring to light the truths behind spaying and neutering your pets. The big push to spay and neuter our pets, in particular before puberty, was brought about as a response to the explosion of stray animals without homes. These strays ultimately have to be euthanized at shelters so it was a valiant effort to address a real problem. The best comp...

Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel: January 2013
http://briarleafarm.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel. Rustic Road 4 Glenwood City, WI. Wednesday, January 16, 2013. How is it possible it is already January? The holidays were busy this year, visiting my Mom up in the far reaches of Northern Minnesota, Jim visiting his parents in Milwaukee and Seth's family coming here to the farm for a short stay. It was perfect! We're making some plans for a week-long trip to Puerto Rico, hopefully we'll have good weather and a functional camera along! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel: September 2012
http://briarleafarm.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel. Rustic Road 4 Glenwood City, WI. Thursday, September 27, 2012. We are really proud of Briarlea Reina de la Noche' this week as she went High in Trial at an all-breed herding trial, earning a 94 out of 100 possible points from the Started Class. She's shown here with her trainer/handler Phyllis Clark. We are also glad to report that our Gael (Briarlea Nightingale of Rustic Road) earned her first beginning herding title - the HT - or "herding tested" from the AKC. Painters...

Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel: May 2012
http://briarleafarm.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel. Rustic Road 4 Glenwood City, WI. Thursday, May 24, 2012. This is Man Ray, our new 'keeper' puppy from Solo and Trouble - we opted to have his ears cropped, the first since Solo's disasterous crop - and hope he continues to grow into the dog we think he will. After 2.5" of rain in the past 24 hours, we were astonished this morning to see our Nelly Moser clematis in bloom! This has been a reliable clematis for us maybe not the showiest but a delight nonetheless! World-reno...

Briarlea Farm and Bouvier Kennel. Rustic Road 4 Glenwood City, WI. Monday, January 30, 2012. This is Zelda, Jim's favorite little dog! He's just pretending not to like her licking his head :) I see that she sleeps up on the bed and that Jim sneaks her down to the kitchen in the morning to join him for coffee. Now, what's so bad about all that? Friday, January 27, 2012. Welcome to the Farm, Karen! UKC Ch. Blackstone's Anna Karenina is visiting us this spring where she will have her puppies by Solo! Our fa...

Sauna reccomendations - chriskelley.org
http://www.chriskelley.org/2015/05/19/sauna-reccomendations
Random thoughts, musings, cool stuff. I’m in the market for a Sauna and may go all in and get a wood fired barrel sauna. I’ve researched the options and a steam sauna seems to have many advantages over the dry / infrared models. And wood fired just seems to make sense to me from an operating cost perspective- and seems more authentic as well. I found these guys. May 19, 2015. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
