Sunday, April 24, 2011. Easter Weekend: The Highs and Lows. All of us being sick for the past several days leading up to Easter. We've had to cancel several social engagements, which has been a major bummer! Glazed doughnuts at the Lion's Club Easter egg hunt on Saturday morning. Trying to enjoy glazed doughnuts while shivering in the freeeezing weather. So, so, so sad! I think that that helped him recover from the trauma of the egg hunt. Searching for his Easter basket on Sunday morning! Ham, funeral po...

Sunday, February 19, 2012. How to Blow Up a Gingerbread House. Reason #843 why I love my family-in-law:. Every New Year's Eve, they blow up a beautiful, lovingly crafted gingerbread house. It's a tradition. Heh heh) fast asleep that night when the Utah Branch of the Anderson Family did the annual gingerbread house explosion. (Okay, it was me. C'mon, I have a baby! Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Sometimes I Make an Effort. Y'know what's hard about being a mom? At the top of the list today, anyway? If I can pa...

Saturday, May 28, 2011. Cole was finally able to come home from the hospital yesterday! Baby Cole had to have a spinal tap to check for meningitis. As soon as they started dropping the "M" word, this mama bear naturally freaked out and broke down in tears in the hospital room. Fortunately, meningitis was eventually ruled out, and Cole only had to endure the seven days of gentamicin. I know that a lot of you have probably gone through things like this, but y'know what I realized this week? Right-hand IV (...

Sunday, May 20, 2012. Mr Chubbins Turns ONE! I can't believe that my little nugget is already a year old. How time. goes fast. like a bird in the sky. Last night, we had a little party at our house with our friends, the Binghams. (Incidentally, they have their own Cole, so it was a Celebration of Coles! Pizza and watermelon. So far so good. Here's Grown-Up Cole, who just graduated from law school at the U! And here are the older kids - Weston, Katelyn, and Dawson. (Haha! OH MY GOSH THAT HAIR! Spawn Two o...

Saturday, January 28, 2012. Brace Yourself. Airplanes AND Animals in this Post. Meanwhile, at Team Anderson's in Salt Lake City. 1) It's a Bird! No, Wait, It's a Plane. And It's Not Even Flying. It's on the Ground. We visited Hill Aerospace Museum. Over the Christmas holiday (yes, this is a wee bit delayed), because. guess why? And there are lots of big, shiny airplanes there! It was pretty brisk that day. I was wishing that I had a Teletubby suit like Cole. Check out that big fella! For their Wednesday ...
TIM & JEAN: September 2011

Thursday, September 29, 2011. The Essence of Random. Is anyone NOT buying the "Forever" stamps at this point? I have never eaten a Big Mac. Never. Am I missing something? Or is it a big, gross waste of time? I'm reading a book called The Passage. Right now. It's a Crichton-esque post-apocalyptic vampire-y sci-fi. It's for Book Club this month, and while I originally had no intention whatsoever of even starting the 700 pages (ha! Friday, September 23, 2011. And it was FREE! We danced like idiots to the '5...
TIM & JEAN: Easter! AND Tee Ball!
http://timandjean.blogspot.com/2012/04/easter-and-tee-ball.html
Thursday, April 19, 2012. Hey, look, I'm blogging! In case you didn't see my blog-undrum on Facebook, I basically realized that although I find my kids to be super adorable, blogging sometimes feels more like an obligation than a pleasure. So, I've decided to only blog about the really blog-worthy things, like birthdays and holidays and new babies and the like. Naturally, any new " Weekly Dork Time with Microsoft Paint. Moving right along. we had a FANTASTIC EASTER! That we needed something a little more...
TIM & JEAN: Weston Is FOUR!!!!
http://timandjean.blogspot.com/2012/03/weston-is-four.html
Thursday, March 1, 2012. My firstborn is four years old. FOUR! I still can't believe that I'm a mom, let alone that I have a four-year-old. BAAAAAHHHHH! Anyway, Weston's birthday is "technically" on February 26th, but because February 26th was a Sunday (not to mention the Oscars), Tim and I sorta kinda just pretended that his birthday was on Friday the 24th instead. (It's nice when they're little and don't pay attention to calendars.). And what a super-extreme-mega-birthday it was! Sorry, Cole. No Ha...

Saturday, October 22, 2011. Welcome to my Rapid Recap! We're leaving for California tomorrow afternoon (one more sleep! And that means that there's laundry to fold, bathrooms to clean, suitcases to pack, emails to send, and about a bamillion other things to do. Hence, this very rapid recap of recent events! Can you guess what's been in my mind a bit lately? Should we buy a toy or two for Weston? Should we pay up for a World of Color picnic? Should we bring a backpack in addition to the diaper bag? We're ...

Friday, April 29, 2011. I'm Nesting with My Blog. I have a whole bunch of things that I've been wanting to blog about, and because my nesting instinct is in full force these days, I'm going to do them all at once! I have no idea when this baby is coming. I'm 38 weeks, and as of a week and a half ago, absolutely nothing was happening. Lately I've been feeling some mild pressure in the ol' lower abdomen, so maybe there will be some progress by my next appointment? Blog #1: Sweet Tomatoes. And that she has ...

Mint Condition | A look at the comic book industry's digital movement.
A look at the comic book industry's digital movement. Comic Books and Advertising. December 10, 2011 by Ryan Lloyd. For my last blog post, I wanted to learn more about comics and how the world of advertising comes into play when companies promote them. I found out however, that comic books themselves are a rich form of advertising. They’re colorful explosions of art and typography, with established characters who are easily influential to certain consumers, believe it or not. Old Comic Book Ads. With Dai...

The art of conversation. August 21, 2014. 8211; This was the first lesson I learnt. It pays to be relaxed. Why? Be an active listener. 8211; Too often, you will find when engaging in a conversation that one, or many individuals are impatient. What does that mean? Don’t always talk about yourself. 8211; People don’t realise it, but more often than not you can pick when someone isn’t being honest in a conversation. Generally talking about yourself, and telling lies come hand in hand. It...I hope that these...

January 12, 2014. I quickly worked my way through this series over the holiday break. Awesome trilogy with great characters. Strongly recommend. A Confederacy of Dunces. September 23, 2013. A Confederacy of Dunces. Is a Pulitzer Prize winning fiction book by John Kennedy Toole, posthumously published through the efforts of Toole’s mother after his suicide. For the background of the book’s difficult path to publication, the forward to the book by Walker Percy is really interesting. September 2, 2013.
