Follow our journey as myself, my husband and our 3 boys build a Palermo with Ryan Homes. Saturday, January 30, 2016. We have a hole! As promised we've been by daily this week. Just as promised they did clear the land on Tuesday, Wednesday staked out the house, Thursday dug the hole and Friday poured the footers. Talked to Kevin today, he said they wanted to bring the Bobcat in and clear out a bit more debris in the back. He also said they plan to pour the foundation walls Monday, depending on rain. Even ...

Originally written end of April. New updates to come shortly. Thankfully with help from our parents we've accomplished a lot this weekend. Top of stairwell. Hopefully the new spindles will be here soon! 4/6 ceiling fans installed. Mudroom, caused by me with the silly hinge doorstops. These stupid doorstops have all been replaced.

Follow our journey as myself, my husband and our 3 boys build a Palermo with Ryan Homes. Tuesday, April 26, 2016. It's a fairly big house so saving that gas and electric bill will be helpful. I did get some inside pictures but I totally forgot the basement and exterior. This was my first go with panoramic mode on my camera, sorry. http://buildingwithboys.blogspot.com/p/pre-construction-meeting.html
Follow our journey as myself, my husband and our 3 boys build a Palermo with Ryan Homes. I stole most of this from Lauren at palermonewbeginnings.blogspot.com - thank you Lauren! Pre-construction meeting scheduled for 1/25/16. I am compiling a list of questions to make sure we cover. Let me know if I missed anything! I'm hoping to send these to him beforehand if I can. Didn't happen. I just didn't feel the need. Most of this I am assuming he will answer without being prompted.). Do we have to ask first?

We have our final walk through tomorrow and close on Thursday. There's not a ton to update since I updated midweek. I do though have to share a picture of my fabulous red door, columns and sod! Storm clouds moving in, but the door, the columns, the grass! I do have a list of things to ask the Project Manager about tomorrow.
