http://petersquill.blogspot.com/2016_02_01_archive.html
A place to quill my thoughts and ramblings! Friday, February 05, 2016. Day 10 Israel: Closing Thoughts. The following thoughts were written on January 31st but not posted until today). As I sit here in my hotel room it's 6:10 am Sunday morning and I am packed and all ready to go! What has also been impressed upon me is that there are layer upon layer of civilizations here! One builds on top of the other. There is so much history here and conflict too! Shimon Zemer (our Guide). I was not so impressed nor ...

Peter's Quill: WORDS
http://petersquill.blogspot.com/2017/01/words.html
A place to quill my thoughts and ramblings! Thursday, January 05, 2017. Our words can say much more than we often realize. For many of us we think to simplify life we’ve got to escape from all of it, go somewhere, disconnect our electricity and never drive a car again. Many of us year after year have thought about simplifying or thought about slowing down but it’s just a thought. When it comes to the simple life do you want to reorganize your life or do you want to revolutionize your life? Be honest with...

Peter's Quill: December 2015
http://petersquill.blogspot.com/2015_12_01_archive.html
A place to quill my thoughts and ramblings! Tuesday, December 08, 2015. 44 Days Till Israel! In January I have a trip planned with Promise Keepers for a 11 day trip to Israel. I thought that I could blog before, during and after the trip in order to have a record. So here I go. Brenda has commented on more than one occasion that " you don't seem excited about your trip". God is so good! I have never sold rabbits for such an endeavor before and the income will pay for almost all of the trip!

Peter's Quill: January 2017
http://petersquill.blogspot.com/2017_01_01_archive.html
A place to quill my thoughts and ramblings! Monday, January 23, 2017. Christians are to pray as long as it takes. How long do you keep on praying when you don’t see an answer? There’s two kinds of stories Jesus told. One is a parable of comparison: God is like this… The other is a parable of contrast: God is not like this. If that’s true, if God really wants to answer my prayers, how come my prayers aren’t being answered? Ephesians 6:18 (LIV) “Pray all the time.”. Yes, there are two exceptions, two times...

Peter's Quill: October 2016
http://petersquill.blogspot.com/2016_10_01_archive.html
A place to quill my thoughts and ramblings! Thursday, October 27, 2016. Standing firm on the promises of God. Have you been blown emotionally one way and then another? It’s a sign that our faith is hanging onto a clothes line! With certain winds, a sheet hanging on a clothes line may be blown from one end to the other and back again. Our life placed in Christ should rather be like the flag on a pole. It’s blown around but firmly anchored to the pole. 2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV). Given by inspiration of God, and.

Peter's Quill: November 2016
http://petersquill.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html
A place to quill my thoughts and ramblings! Tuesday, November 29, 2016. Placing our complete trust in Christ gives victory over the giants we face. David had come to a point in his relationship with God, that he was able to see things from God’s perspective. In 2Kings 6:16-17 the prophet Elisha prays that the Lord would open the eyes of his servant in order to see the Lord’s army. How can we gain the kind of trust in God that David exhibited? 3 Rely on God’s strength. David did not enter the ba...Our bat...

Peter's Quill: February 2010
http://petersquill.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
A place to quill my thoughts and ramblings! Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Loss of a Friend. I was privileged to preach at the funeral of a friend and fellow servant in ministry this week. It was probably the largest funeral I’ve ever been involved in to which my friend would have been impressed to know that so many cared! It was a great funeral! Which is a difficult thing to do). The scripture that comes to mind is “Be still and know that I am God”. Tuesday, February 16, 2010. But the call of Jesus Chris...

Peter's Quill: April 2010
http://petersquill.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A place to quill my thoughts and ramblings! Thursday, April 01, 2010. There seems to be no end to the controversy surrounding the Global Warming Debate. It’s either an “Inconvenient Truth” or it’s “The Great Global Warming Swindle”. Who’s telling the truth? My sense is that there is “some” truth to both sides of the debate. However, I also believe it’s all an exercise in futility! Because you only have to observe the behaviour of people to see how little many of us care about our environment. There is no...

Peter's Quill: PAIN
http://petersquill.blogspot.com/2017/01/pain.html
A place to quill my thoughts and ramblings! Monday, January 09, 2017. The very thing that discourages you the most, God uses to develop you. Pain is like a warning light and it’s saying something’s wrong in my life. Now, is it wise to ignore a warning light? No, it’s not. In the same way, it’s not wise to ignore your pain; it’s saying something’s wrong. However we need to understand that: Pain is a tool God uses for good in our lives. God can use pain to motivate us. To make us change our ways.”. In othe...
