How to help us. Anna (born 13th January in 2002) is in class four in the Primary School since January 2014. Beatrice (born 7th July, 1995) is in form four in the Secondary School since January 2014. The subject she likes most at school is English. She likes socializing and making new friends. She was admitted in Dickson Children Centre in October 2005. How to help us. Halima Halima is 6 years. The parents are divorced, due to mistreatment by the husband. Halima has a small sister. They live in a mud house; there is no furniture and they eat and sleep on the ground. The mother is collecting bottles and tries to sell them. They are very poor. Halima shows signs of protein deficiency. Karisa is 7 years old. He lives in a mud house. All five children sleep in one bed. His father is a casual laborer and he is often drunk. How to help us. Sponsor a child, change a life. The center was founded in August 2004 by Matheka Munyasya (Kenyan) and his Dutch wife Ria. The center is named after Ria's late father, Dick, and to Matheka’s father, Dickson, who died in 1998 during tribal conflict. Each child has a mentor mom. It gives more time and personal attention to the child and is there for the child when he/she has problems.
