Hi there and welcome to kiwikr.co.nz. This site has been created as an on-line builders log to track the construction of my Rand Robinson KR2S. Aircraft. Navigating the site is hopefully fairly self explanatory, basically the three main tabs above, each contain sub tabs which link to pages with related content. To report any problems with the site or to make comments or suggestions please email me at gavin.magill@gmail.com. I hope you enjoy the site. Goals For The Coming Week. Recent News off the KRNet.

Microlights in Hawke's Bay NZ. The website of Hawke's Bay Microlight Club. Napier – Art Deco Airport of the world? The best Art Deco building in Napier, built by a tobacco company. WARNING: Smoking may have improved Napier’s economic health. Hawke’s Bay Airport (Napier) owes its existence to the major earthquake of 1931 which raised the seabed by about two metres. The earthquake also provided an opportunity to redevelop the flattened town as Art Deco Capital of the World. Despite the landing fees, Hawke&...

Microlights in Hawke's Bay NZ. The website of Hawke's Bay Microlight Club. From the Light Side. The biggest flight for a microlight was the TRD flight to White Island, an article appears somewhere else on this site. A flights being planned is the usual winter one around the mountains, we will wait till they get a good covering of snow. And some of us are still hankering to get down south, a winter one down there would be spectacular but one would need a heater on board. Take care out there, Trevor Doig.

Microlights in Hawke's Bay NZ. The website of Hawke's Bay Microlight Club. Kowhai – Superb strip in a great location. Kowhai nestles just over the road from the Waipawa River, and sits in a direct line between Dannevirke and Napier. This makes it an easy-to-find alternative if Napier, Hastings or (more often than not) Waipukurau are fogged in. The field is run by Bruce Worsnop, from his sheep and cattle breeding farm between Tikokino and the Waipawa River. 06 856 5857, or 021 856 585. Dannevirke – ...

Microlights in Hawke's Bay NZ. The website of Hawke's Bay Microlight Club. This page is for young people who want to fly, and older people who understand that their all-too-brief stay on this planet is not a rehearsal for some other kind of flight. Fewer than five percent of the world’s population have flown, and a fraction of that tiny number have flown an aeroplane as the pilot in command. If you enjoyed the adrenaline rush and the views, the next step is to begin the training. The currently authorised...
