Hebrides Collection - Elizabeth Shorrock
http://elizabethshorrock.co.uk/gallery/hebrides-collection
Books and Mixed Media Art, Cark-in-Cartmel, Cumbria. I have spent many holidays in the Outer Hebrides now and hope to spend many more! The scenery is very inspirational, especially if you are there when the wild flowers are covering the coastal Machair. I have used both photos and print to interpret it. Collective in Cumbria and North Lancashire. Green Door Artists on Twitter. North Yorkshire Open Studios. Silverdale and Arnside Art and Crafts Trail.

Print Trays - Elizabeth Shorrock
http://elizabethshorrock.co.uk/gallery/print-trays
Books and Mixed Media Art, Cark-in-Cartmel, Cumbria. I see these Print Trays as very much my speciality pieces. They are done to represent a single theme like the Hebrides one or to reflect a person’s life and interest like the Library of my Life or the Fiftieth birthday ones. Each space (usually at least 90) is filled with a tiny book which can be taken out and examined or with an image which remains permanently in position. Lake District Printer’s Tray. Library of My Life. Green Door Artists on Twitter.

Recycled Books - Elizabeth Shorrock
http://elizabethshorrock.co.uk/gallery/recycled-books
Books and Mixed Media Art, Cark-in-Cartmel, Cumbria. There are so many books in second hand bookshops that will probably never be bought and are likely to end up in landfill so I feel no guilt (well, hardly any) at cutting them up to give them a new lease of life as a piece of art. They can vary in size from about 2.5 cm square to the Recycled Shakespeare which is about 70cm long and about 10cm deep. The Complete Works of Shakespeare. Lake District Book Box. Long Book in the Round.

Meadow Collection - Elizabeth Shorrock
http://elizabethshorrock.co.uk/meadow-collection
Books and Mixed Media Art, Cark-in-Cartmel, Cumbria. My aim for 2016 was to develop my printing and to use the results not just as framed pieces but in the construction of sculptural book forms. Most of the work so far has been done using linocuts but I have also experimented with drypoint etching and monoprints. The results can be seen in this Meadow collection inspired by photographs taken on the Machair in the Outer Hebrides. Collective in Cumbria and North Lancashire. Green Door Artists on Twitter.

From the mid 1990s to the summer of 2012 I exhibited regularly with Textilia III. At a variety of galleries in the North West of England.
