A brass instrument is a musical instrument whose tone is produced by movment of the lips when the player blows into a mouthpiece. The apperence is different too because some like the clarinet are black and silver. Some of them also have little silver pedal like buttons that close the hole to make a different pitch. I love rock and roll. Thursday, January 25, 2007. I would catagorize the French Horn in the Brass insturment family. There are four French Horn players in The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. And their names are; Elizabeth Freimuth, Thomas Sherwood, Gene Berger, and Duane Dugger. Gives high notes, and low lip tension gives low notes. The French Horn's tubing. Is 11 feet long! French Horn players put a mute in the bell of their French Horn and that changes the pitch's sound. Jogging in Red Pumps.

A Trombone player, to produce a note, presses their lips agianst the mouthpiece of their Trombone. This is difforant than how a Trumpet player uses their lips to produce a note because Trumpet players press their lips harder to produce a note. The tubing in a Trombone. Is about nine feet long, including the slide on the insturment.
