Last night at 2343 UTC, Franck Cammas, skipper of the trimaran Groupama 3 engaged in the Jules Verne Trophy, alerted the shore crew to the capsize of the maxi trimaran. All crew members have been rescued by helicopters and repatriated to Dunedin, on New Zealand’s South Island. Groupama 3 was on a winning spree and were a day ahead of Bruno Peyron’s old record time.
