Simply Julie: Wrapping Paper Bows
http://jswfield.blogspot.com/2011/03/wrapping-paper-bows.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Have you ever had a strip of wrapping paper leftover after you've wrapped a gift? Don't toss it in the trash! Turn that scrap into a beautiful EASY bow in just a minute or two. Next, cut vertically up to (NOT THROUGH) the top folded edge. I cut up to about 1/2 inch from the folded edge. Again, this does not have to be perfect. Guesstimate. The finished bow depends entirely on the width of your cuts and the length of your scrap of paper. I can never make the same bow twice....

Simply Julie: Eclectic Curiosities
http://jswfield.blogspot.com/2015/03/eclectic-curiosities.html
Thursday, March 5, 2015. This collection of photos I took in Japan I have named eclectic curiosities- things that caught my eye and, perhaps, made me take a second look. Japan is replete with vending machines. There were no street venders or food trucks, but there were plenty of vending machines that sold all kinds of interesting items. It wasn't unusual for us to find English words associated with Japanese products that made me wonder. For example, this thirst quencher was labeled "sweat". In Japan, wil...

Monday, March 9, 2015. Hiroshima was the number one place Brian wanted me to experience while in Japan and, wow, it was an emotional, poignant, and thought-provoking place. We began at what is now known as the A-bomb Dome. We then crossed the river to Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park. Our first stop was the Children's Peace Monument. Which honors Sadako Sasaki. And all the other children who died in the blast or from radiation sicknesses later on. Sadako's story. Me ringing the Bell of Peace. Cute" is the...

Thursday, October 16, 2014. Travis has been in Chile for more than three weeks now. He is serving as a missionary. For The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In Boca Sur which is basically a suburb of Concepci ó. N From what we can discern, it is on the coast near the southern mouth of the Bio Bio River, hence the name Boca Sur or "south mouth". His companion is Elder L. from Texas. They live in the top floor of the blue apartment building. I'll let the rest of the photos speak for themselves.

There's been gatherings and singing and mission partying. Complete with decorations and lights for their apartment. Monday, December 8, 2014. As "h...
